prize money this season

does anyone know the prize money this season for each place finished in our league? there are tons of things on the web about Premier League prize money, but cant find it on the championship, other than the massive amount you gain by winning the play offs

Last season, every club in the division from 1st to 24th received the same ‘basic award’ of £2.084million. The EFL gave an equal share of the TV money to every club in the division, regardless of where they finished. The EFL also gave every club in the Championship a £4.3million ‘solidarity payment’, which was donated by the Premier League to the EFL to ensure that the gap between the top division and the Football League did not widen too much. Again, this was distributed equally to every club regardless of where they finished in the league.

On top of that Sky paid £100,000 for every home game shown live on TV and £10,000 for the away team.

Just to add, the £100k for the home team rises to £120k and £140k if a TV game is on Sunday or Thursday respectively.

Last season in League 1, we received a 'basic award' of £677,000, a 'solidarity payment' of £645,000 and £30,000 for a live TV game as a home team.

Seems disproportionate to give the home team £100k and the away team only £10k.

Sky normally pick a game where the visitors make it an attractive game. For example they’d be much more likely to show Burton v Wolves rather than for example Aston Villa v Barnsley (or any lowly unattractive uninspiring team, such as Sheffield Wednesday for example)

It’s disproportinately poor for the home team. You need to lose about 4k off your gate to lose that type of money. It’s really not very lucrative at all.
