We've now won the last 4 league games at Reading. Which is satisfying after that little rivalry we developed with them years ago.

They need to sack Stam. They were a shambles. Only Liam Kelly in midfield can come out with any credit. What an utter fat waste of space Chris Martin has become.

I never liked Coldplay anyway.

I don't know whether you noticed last weekend, Farke got sent to the stands for kicking the ball away :)

after what happened at our place, made me laugh

I missed that, as it happens. But I’m very pleased to have had it pointed out. :)

When he stumbled into his technical area at Bramall Lane earlier this season, I thought some derelict old tramp had slipped through Gaz’s matchday ring of steel ...

... until he started whining and gesticulating, of course, then I realised he was a bona fide 21st century football manager.

Farke off, Farketwat.*

* Sorry, I am a “vulgar uncouth moron”, after all.

To me the reading player passed it to his teammate who seemed to let the ball run past him and out for a throw
Looked to me like it was just a bad pass as the guy tried to control it but couldn't quite

“Fair play to Billy Sharp for tonight, played for us and was mistreated and not given a fair chance, signs for his boyhood club, scores and gets abuse. Why wouldn’t he celebrate his goals and give a little bit back to the fans that abuse him!”

“Billy Sharp had a cracking game”

“Billy Sharp is easily one of the best poachers you can get at this level, really enjoyed his little loan with us even if he didn’t deliver as much as he should of.”

Blades fans were fantastic all game. From my vantage point in a sparsely populated, eerily silent home stand, I was very proud of our support:

Glad to be of service! There was often only a small number of us near the middle singing but on a steep stand like that (or the BLUT) it doesn't take many to make a decent noise. I still think our support could have been better though - I'd like to think more who make the effort for an awful fixture like that would also make the effort with vocal support.

That’s what happened.

If Reading wanting their player to receive treatment then etiquette is to kick the ball out of play to the nearest touchline in your own half. Not put the ball up field intending to gain extra yardage, that’s bad sportsmanship from Reading.
I agree, think it was just a bad pass that just went out of play.
In those circumstances no other team would have given back possession.

lol............wonder what they'll be saying when playing in L1 in front of crowds the size they used to get at Elm Park.

Credit to them most saw it as it was, they were crap, we were a bit better, we played to the whistle (had to after Hull whistle protests caught us out) and their penalty was indirect at best for obstruction.

3 points, so who cares

No we didn’t cheat their player was up. I see they mentioned Blackman saved the pen. Don’t know how they could get Blackman and Moore mixed up.
Idiot plastic fan comments. Thanks again Roy

Actually, no one said that Blackman saved the pen. The save he was referring to was by Blackman before he went off. Didn't think it was going in from where I was standing, but decent save nonetheless.

Roygbiv - you missed off my favourite comment of theirs...

"Wasted 45 minutes of my life there. Left at ht. Chucked my st away somewhere in a bush. I do not see myself ever going back. I will get a Crawley st next year when I move."

Don't imagine they'll be too many people searching the bushes of Reading for a free season ticket if that's the fayre that's on offer.

As for the "worst bit of sportsmanship ever", it was so blatantly outrageous that we left the ground completely baffled at why the locals had got so uppity, and only found out about the crime of the century when we read about it on here. That's how obvious it was. But hey, what did they expect - we're all wankers at the Lane. And the Madejski.

I could be all adult about this and discuss the nuanced differences between what happened last night and what happened with Kanu at Arsenal.

But I will settle for saying...

Nah Nah!!! Stitch that one Reading yah big soft southern Jessie’s Ha ha ha ha ha!

Their lad won a penalty by chucking himself on the floor. We may have scored a questionable goal. Evens up for me.

Cheers Roy. They're clearly not a happy bunch. I wonder why???. Their fans already seem to have given up, judging by the small crowd last night!!. I absolutely love the 'Spawn of warnock' comment. They've clearly been living under a rock for the last 10 years. On that basis! Christ knows who they thought wilder and knill were last night?. Utb

No such thing as an "indirect" free kick anymore. I'm not sure it was a fouls anyway, but good save from Simon.

“Nice to hear the Chip Butty Song get an airing.”

At least one of the fans found little comfort... :)

Cheers Roy.

They'll probably just go back to supporting Chelsea until Reading become decent again FB.

My favourite chant on the night was the “Football in a library” chant as I’m sure was yours...

Noise-wise we started very well, but were a little quiet between our two goals in the first half. 2nd half was good and frankly in those conditions I’d even praise the non-singing whingers next to be simply for making the trip.

Yep. My top 5 is pretty steady these days, season in season out.

1. Need I say ?
2. Leeds
3. Cockney twats with free stadium
4. MK Donkeys
5. Reading.

6. tends to be a wild card based on current “form” (in the Ray Winstone sense), and this year is taken by Norwich.

Plenty other candidates are available.
Might replace MK Plastics with Notlob.
