I have no idea what it is that we've supposedly done

No we didn’t cheat their player was up. I see they mentioned Blackman saved the pen. Don’t know how they could get Blackman and Moore mixed up.
Idiot plastic fan comments. Thanks again Roy

There was nothing wrong with the third. They kicked the ball out for their injured player, we are no longer expected to give the ball back, the so called etiquette changed a few seasons ago and unless the referee requests it, you don't have to give the ball back anymore.

The ref's tend to request teams to give the ball back if they have kicked it out for the oppositions player.

In addition, you don't have to kick the ball out anymore as it is down to the ref to stop play, not the players.

“Wouldn’t expect anything else from the spawn of Warnock. They’d be crying for a replay if the ball was on the other foot”

Maybe, but what would we have done if the boot had been on the other foot? Numpty.

Some of the comments were extremely fair but still amused by references to Warnock. Another Southern club given lots of dosh at one time and amazed to see that just like the pigs they are scrambling for survival after being in the top 6 last season. Clearly the deluded ones are clinging to spurious claims but the reality is they were outplayed, out manoeuvred and out classed

Excellent stuff from (some of) them. If there was a top 6 of team's fans you'd want to feel hard done by & pissed off after they'd just lost to us then they'd be in it.

Yep. My top 5 is pretty steady these days, season in season out.

1. Need I say ?
2. Leeds
3. Cockney twats with free stadium
4. MK Donkeys
5. Reading.

6. tends to be a wild card based on current “form” (in the Ray Winstone sense), and this year is taken by Norwich.

Plenty other candidates are available.

“been victim to the worst bit of sportsmanship ever.Hound is exactly right.United just did to us what Kanu did to them all those years ago – and that resulted in a game being replayed. Disgusting and I cannot believe the lack of uproar by Reading commentators on social media and on here.

Here's the reason why from one of your own pal:

“that was all on our stupidity, Sheff Utd did absolutely nothing wrong.”

I'm fairly certain our reaction to our third would have been similar to theirs, perhaps a little less vociferous as we've experienced that type of goal to a much more brutal degree.

*shrug*

I can see both sides, but certainly fall more on the side that they reaped what they sewed with their gamesmanship throughout the match. I maintain, the ref was wank and didn't help matters either.

We've now won the last 4 league games at Reading. Which is satisfying after that little rivalry we developed with them years ago.

They need to sack Stam. They were a shambles. Only Liam Kelly in midfield can come out with any credit. What an utter fat waste of space Chris Martin has become.

The appalling crowd was a reflection of what they'd average if they were in L1, where I'd quite like to see them. Not quite as much as I'd like to see Hull and Birmingham down there though...

Incidentally, I loved our mocking “Cheat! Cheat! Cheat!” chants from our fans, whenever our players won free-kicks or throw-ins.
Blades fans were fantastic all game. From my vantage point in a sparsely populated, eerily silent home stand, I was very proud of our support:

A few of those comments mention the ‘etiquette’ of returning the ball after the opposition knocks it out for a throw in. What happened to the etiquette of not diving to win penalties? Surprisingly none of them seem to care about that.
