McCabe is selling up to an obscenely rich foreign business despot with no background in football whatsoever (except for the Man Utd shirt he got when he was 13). He already has plans to do away with the stripes on our shirts and scrap the rest of our heritage. Particularly exciting are the plans for a new bowl-style stadium near Meadowhall.

But it's ok, a lot of you will be happy because he will pay for some foreign footballers with the net worth equivalent to that of a small developing nation and we will be able to compete with Wolves and Stoke.

Go Sheff Reds.

So now the transfer window's closed and we get news there's to be new investment. Of course this is just several weeks before the new season ticket prices will be announced.

Reminds me of a club that tried listing on the stock exchange and the day before let it slip that Paul Gascoigne was going to be signed.

In all seriousness we need some mega owner to take us where we need to be.

We have form in investments just after the window shuts

Not much of that from a £50 note when the Kop ticket prices for next season are announced.

A few disappointing results and it's odd how quickly the love affair with the Wilder "Down to Earth" Approach to football is forgotten and now we desperately need to sell out souls.

Because, let's be right, there are very few mega-rich football investors who have the love of the fans, the club, the city, at heart.

In all seriousness Scott, unravelling your dads investment in United would be very hard when the day comes that he does want out. Just where do you start

He's had every single penny back, we've got all the assets, the players contracts are held by Simon and Scott Rich Kids Ltd and we live for free in the hotel that you fans paid for.

The police are sponsoring the home end. In future it'll be known as the...........
Suth Yorkshire Cop

20/20 vision...

Here we go again.

Few bad results and blades return to normality of self destruction.

Unless we have a totally new owner coming in, nothing will change on the finances front. KM hasn’t got neither the funds or desire to go balls out with the club threatening levels of investment, while I have my doubts the prince has any interest other than trying to make some money, and hasn’t the funds behind him either. So unless it’s a sell out to some foreign billionaire like many other clubs we will see no change to the current strategy.
