That's it. We fuck abaht wi it too much. Play great, get possession, get in a great position, don't cross or shoot. Stating the bleedin obvious I know but that's it. Not lack of flair, not breaking anyone down etc. Just get a bloody early cross away please

I’ll trust the players to understand better than anyone on here that when the overload is “set”, that’s the time to do what you say.

If it isn’t, well it just isn’t.

If it’s “stuck” for want of a better word, you recycle and go again.

It’s not fannying abart !

Yep, lumping it into the box at every opportunity is 3rd division football. You don’t find top teams doing that. When we are patient and work it (all the while their lads are chasing) we look better for it.

I agree in part with what you're saying Dronnie, but there were times tonight in the second half that the ball needed to be delivered when they weren't defensively set. We didn't and the recycle ended up back at Moore who then kicked it long and momentum was lost. I'd rather chance putting a less then perfect ball into the box and benefit from the consequences than it end up 18 yards from our goal with our keeper putting his size 10's through it. Once we start dragging a forward out to the byline to get involved in 4 yard passing triangles with a midfielder and wing back, we've lost the upper hand. And although he didn't play tonight, the lack of a 'quicker delivery' is the main reason Sharp is struggling.

Your point is well made. And there are times when, to contradict myself to an extent, the players don’t get it right and make poor decisions.

It isn’t lost on me that the gerritforrard and gerritinbox brigade are at their loudest towards the end of tight games. It’s bourne of frustration above all else.

But my overall view is that what you suggest, generally has a lower percentage probability of success.

Yep, lots stop keeping possession, switching play and looking to work an opening or to get one of our wingbacks or centre halves behind the defence when we commit so many players forward. What we need to do is to cross it in quickly, have it cleared by the defence as it invariably is playing that style and then watch teams break on us.

Now that is stating the bleedin' obvious for raimond.
The only time we struggled is when we lost possession and they broke quickly.
