Crowd for Preston

Looking at the ticket site, the sales are piss poor for this game. Cheap tickets, a good chance to progress, Saturday 3pm kick off, there shouldn’t be a single thing stopping people from getting to this, is this the time for the “proper blades” arguament?

In the words of Delia, Where are you? Let’s be having you!

you are officially nominated BIGGEST BLADE ( subject to t and c’s and whether you were at Darlington)

Was he at the Port Vale with the other 8,900?

Many of us used to think United used to announce crowds lower than they were, but this seems to be the only one where they did totally the opposite as around 25,000 claim to have been there.

Pretty much the same for me. I'm just pondering it now. A free saturday is a precious and rare thing. I was away with the Blades at Norwich last week, I'll be away with the Blades at Wolves the following week and I never miss a home game. Meanwhile, I have a lovely wife back home who would like nothing better than for me to take her out somewhere for the day, or even for a nice long weekend perhaps with an overnight stay. I don't think the Copthorne on Bramall lane is going to do it for her somehow.
It "does it" for mine.

2 or 3 times a season, Friday evening meal at Parthenonas on London Road.

She goes to Meadowhall on Saturday whilst I'm at the game and we eat in the Copthorne afterwards.

Home again on Sunday.

Backfired on me last season when Coventry made the mickey mouse cup final but I'm looking forward to the next one for the Leeds game.

I’m not going as I have better things to do than go to town to watch united and Preston reserves play in a game that neither could give a hoot about if they lost.
.......shoot me

Not my style... But if you see a figure lurking in the shadows who looks like the Donny Rovers manager, be afraid...

it was a set up for a laugh.. i was hoping he’d bite with ‘but i wasn’t born’..
ahh but tha’d have been born if it were man city!

I've felt rather great apathy for early FA Cup rounds in the past, particularly the League One: Rounds One and Two Years. But it's always a good opportunity to see the fringe players, and maybe some academy prospects.

These days it's even more exciting as we have a manager that will not settle for a laboured kick-about. We will still see blood and guts, and a team trying to win a football match.

For that reason, I'm in.

This is the example. Well done to the three of you.
Great effort from the three of them but you don’t seriously think that all three of them sat down together and said let’s all go across for the 4th round tie against Preston to set an example?

I want to go and would have gone but.......I am at Donny Races for our works Christmas Party! Yeah, I know..mree bar and a box so give a shout for me p
ase.

Don't understand all the apathy, league or FA cup game ! Both teams will be out to win.Wilder doesn't accept players going through the motions , I expect a. good game with us winning.
The part timers will all turn up if we draw
one of the top Prem teams at Bramall Lane in the 5th Round.

3 flying in from NI on Saturday morning.

I was in Belfast for 5 days last week, what a fantastic place.

I’ll be one of the 15,408 on Saturday, if nothing other than to watch an exciting Wilder team who I feel honoured and duty bound to watch and say « thank you « for making visits to Bramall Lane fun again.

Although listening to others planning family outings and consideration for other halves I feel slightly ashamed for going to watch and support the Blades.

Seem to recall Port Vale fans outnumbering us in a Cup match not long ago.

Ps re: the flight from Leeds-Bradford to Belfast is only 40;minutes, a mere cock stride

I'd encourage everyone to go. The football was excellent at Ipswich, wilder does not do boring. 10 quid and 2 for a kid, what's not to like?

Following this comment I realised I'm being an idiot. £10 quid for me and 5 quid for the daughter (she was only 4 last week). Why not spend the day with my daughter by taking her to her 1st ever footy match. My 1st match was an fa cup game so why shouldn't hers be?

Ticket purchased, I doubt she'll last 90 mins, but I'll be there. She knows the words of the GCB, so it will be a proud Dad moment. If she can get through to 75 mins I'll be happy.

COYRAWW

P.S apologies if I have to get past you every 5 mins for the toilet.

She might well last longer. She can jump up and down and shout, and nobody will tell her off... Well, one or two old gits might, I suppose. Enjoy it - these are magic days, and it can be the beginning of a lifetime of a shared interest/obsession/addiction.

I can remember in the Warnock days,we played Swansea (when they were shit) they sold the entire lower and upper and won 3-0,it was hard on the ears listening to Swansea fans singing loudly for 90 mins, dont think i ever recovered.....................o_O:eek:o_O

We were in the Prem and they were in League One and they ran us ragged!

Me too, bring the missus up we usually stay in The Copthorne, she watches the football with me even though I know she doesn't care about it but I think she's just happy to know I'm not banging anything more than a few seats.
