They have sold out lower tier and asked for snother 500 in the upper

I can remember in the Warnock days,we played Swansea (when they were shit) they sold the entire lower and upper and won 3-0,it was hard on the ears listening to Swansea fans singing loudly for 90 mins, dont think i ever recovered.....................o_O:eek:o_O

Obviously.

€200 for flights, taxi, hotel & ticket to see us play Preston. Paid it for pig game but harder to justify for this week
That’s fine obviously, but the missing 15-20,000 this Saturday to Tuesday night don’t all live in Spain. Most of them live in Sheffield and can’t be arsed

They were immense that day. One of the best away supports I’ve seen at the Lane

Apart from Wilson, who I don't think will play, the other 3 are cup tied.

Fair point, but I'm hoping to see Nathan Thomas who I've only watched for a few minutes so far. Maybe Slater too, who looked handy at PNE.

Everybody has the right to chose what to do on a Saturday afternoon, football is leisure-time entertainment, money is tight, etc., etc. I'm not going to criticise anyone for deciding not to go. But next time there is a 'big' match at the Lane, I hope anyone who comes on here telling the oldies at the front of the Kop that they are a waste of space, ruining the atmosphere by not standing up singing etc., will confirm that they were at the match on Saturday, when I and many others like me will be shouting our support of whichever 11 players who are representing the Blades, and who we know will put in a shift, like everyone that Wilder selects to play for us. And I would make a special appeal to those with young kids/grandkids - the prices are rock-bottom, the atmosphere won't (I assume) be intimidating, and the club deserves a reward for their excellent pricing - give the young uns a treat, and perhaps let them take the first steps of their lives as Blades on Saturday.

I want to go and would have gone but.......I am at Donny Races for our works Christmas Party! Yeah, I know.....still, it’s a free bar and a box so give a shout for me please.

I live in Stockport finish work 530 so doubtful for Villa as traffic will be a mare .

Will be there Saturday for a tenner...utb

I’ll be there, always like the early games to see some of he fringe players.

I went to Wrexham away in the Sherpa van trophy in 1988 and also Chester away in the same cup in the same season, one of the games got called off an hour before kick off.

There were less than 50 Blades at each of them. Back then we played the first team in all cups. Plus two subs.

I’m not going on Saturday but should we get through and get a plum draw in the 5th round I will probably go, so I guess I have the same Blase attitude to the cups as most clubs do.

I have got my ticket early doors, it is a shame the FA cup is not that attractive anymore to fans, I believe its down to having multiple cup competitions.

I don’t prioritise cup games against family time. League yes

Pretty much the same for me. I'm just pondering it now. A free saturday is a precious and rare thing. I was away with the Blades at Norwich last week, I'll be away with the Blades at Wolves the following week and I never miss a home game. Meanwhile, I have a lovely wife back home who would like nothing better than for me to take her out somewhere for the day, or even for a nice long weekend perhaps with an overnight stay. I don't think the Copthorne on Bramall lane is going to do it for her somehow.

I'll be there, looking forward to it.

For me, I'm trying to get to as many games as possible now because the team Wilder has built genuinely excites me and it's an absolute joy to watch them play. I went to a fair few when it was Clough boring the hell out of us at times (there were good times under him too in fairness) or Adkins just being Adkins so I'm certainly appreciating what I get to see these days and long may it continue.

It's nothing to do with being a bigger blade etc, yes people have circumstances that will make it difficult to attend this weekend but with all due respect the draw of playing Preston at home isn't going to be that of a PL side and the latter is always going to attract the crowds. Frustrating, yes, very, especially if you can't then get a ticket for the more "prestigious" game but surprising it is not.

12k tops imo.

Shame but us Blades have become apathetic to either cup until 1/4's stage or a big draw.

I'll be there for my sins thou !!

Looking at the ticket site, the sales are piss poor for this game. Cheap tickets, a good chance to progress, Saturday 3pm kick off, there shouldn’t be a single thing stopping people from getting to this, is this the time for the “proper blades” arguament?

In the words of Delia, Where are you? Let’s be having you!
can you pick me up in Thurso Scotland friday afternoon?

Cheap tickets, and a Saturday 3pm kick off which our over 20000 season ticket holders clearly have no no issues for. No Excuse.

Edit: I’m sure these absent fans will have no issue getting to a 5 past 8 Thursday morning kick off against Man City should we get through to the next round.
you are officially nominated BIGGEST BLADE ( subject to t and c’s and whether you were at Darlington)
