Dirty Wallace

I wonder if that tackle had anything to do with any Celtic v Rangers rivalry with Wallace and Fleck?

Wallace started his career at Celtic.

I agree that they carried out their game plan better than we did but their game plan wasn’t to win the game. For me you can never be classed as the better team if you aren’t actually interested in winning.
don't necessarily agree with that mate, if for example Wycombe went to the Ethiad, parked the bus and came away with a 0-0 then i believe you could say they were the better team/performance?
however this was the self proclaimed top 2 auto promotion contenders vs the relegation fodder 6 yrs in the pub league cloggers.
either we are playing like man city, or they are playing like wycombe ?
they were shittin it before the game, get a well deserved point, and they are going to get playoffs again - jizzbag fans of a wankstain club.

Now Wallaces talents are fading using his angry little man wind ups more.

Duffy particularly did well not to get too involved. Two angry little men together.

There wouldn't have been any animal antics from Wallace if a strong ref would have dealt with him earlier.
It was obvious very early what he was up to, take out any player especially one that has a big influence on the outcome.
If Brooks had played Wallace would have had him,Wallace is simply a filthy little player, probably doing what his greasy manager told him to do.

Like I said we were under par but we were a lot better than them

Think football's a bit too nuanced for you mate you might be better off with a jigsaw or a connect 4
They had a good spell towards the end when I thought they were going to nick - draw was a fair result

Can't agree referee was good. 4 minutes additional time?
Would love to know how much was actually wasted.
Having said that it wasn't like I expected us to win at the end...

The ref was shit, he spoke to Wildsmith about time wasting then totally ignored him as he took another 40 seconds to kick the ball, he drew his stupid fucking line to mark ten yards and was too dopey to even see that the wall was stood 2ft in front of it! 4 minutes added time, it took Rhodes and Loovens longer than that to walk off the field, absolutely pathetic.

Typified Bill Shanklys lament that, 'Referees know the rules, but they don't know the game' :(

Nasty little dirty mardy bastard of an excuse for a class-less has-been footballer.
Novotel, Sheffield City Centre - he spends a bit of time there, apparently. You know, in case anyone fancies hanging about....

I'll be honest, i was glad when the final whistle was blown. If a goal was coming, it wasn't going to be in their net.

Not allowed a different opinion am I ? Know fuck all about football. ? What was good about us last night ? Who had more attempts on goal ? Whoout muscledus in key areas ? Take those specs off and think about what we saw last night. A poor performance against a poor side. Wilder has done brilliant for us and we have played well for the most part this season. However last night was concerning in many areas and if you can't see that it is maybe it is you that knows nothing about football

Hopefully the new signings will help

I don't think we were good at all and it is concerning that we aren't putting the poorer sides to bed but I haven't even heard a sensible Wednesday fan today say they were the better side. We should have won and we failed comprehensively in that but I don't think either side were better than the other.

I'd agree with this. The confidence visibly drained towards the end when we clearly had no idea how to break them down and if the game was 5 minutes longer then maybe they would have gone on to win it but in the 90 nobody on either side could justifiably say they deserved it

But who would have scored for them certainly not that tall oaf that ponderously walked around in circles,he was winded after ten yards.Oil tankers can turn quicker than him.

Joao was lively for them, and that glenn hoddlesque 'dink' in the first half had me squirming, as did reach's effort in the 2nd half. They also wasted that fast counter attack in the 1st half when wallace shot instead of squaring it. In the closing stages i was fearful of a scrappy winner. Deflection, keeper mishandle, header from a corner. I had visions of them bundling one in, in front of the away end.

Your arsenals, Chelsea's etc look crap when they have a 10 man wall in front of them....

If you think they were better - considering 2 players of theirs cost 5x more than our entire squad..... you need to have a look at yourself.

Looked at that tackle a few times now and I seriously think it's one of the worst fouls I've ever seen. If you watch it carefully its not just reckless in that he was clearly out of control as he went in but he also watches Fleck right up to the moment of impact and clearly moves his foot towards JF's leg in other words it was reckless and deliberately malicious. I'm prepared to give the benefit of the doubt to some "leg breaker" tackles that result in red cards in that often the player doesn't deliberately seek to make contact, they are usually rash, mistimed, over committed and stupid but not essentially malicious. Looking at that Wallace meant to get him.

‘The new Chris Maguire’… Sheffield Wednesday fans react to star’s Steel City derby display

They're actually proud of his performance ,maybe it's a sign of how starved of watching effort and work rate they've been but I wouldn't be happy if one of our lads spent the entire game as undisciplined as he was
No exaggeration to say he was very very fortunate not to see Red

Might have been mentioned earlier, but it was funny as fuck when ShitBagPigWallace was trying to wind Donaldo up and he just pushed him away with his fingers with a smirk on his chops.

Commentators laughing that they aren't even in the same weight division.

Would love to see him showing off like that in front of a massive black dude in town.

I was chatting to a bloke on the back of the Kop about our universal hatred for the little turd and he said he just typifies Wednesday. If you had to picture a typical Wednesday player, he is it, the horrible little shit

I mentioned my above comment in the 'Fun things from Friday night' thread on Porktalk and got this classy response. FML

"Hook line and sinker, Your players and your fans fell for it, Get stuck in a wind up as many as he can. Even managed to get away with a red card tackle on one of your dirty players "

And a yellow card dive and several instances of dissent
