So it's upon us, the 2nd Steel City Derby of the 17/18 season, and of course live on TV. Somewhat more anticipated than the trip to Ipswich last week, but that did give us chance to rest a few a players - and still won :) A Number of new faces introduced 'this' week so it'll interesting to see how they feature...

Although our results haven't been great of late, the performances - on the whole - have remained good. As far as I'm aware that's not the same for our local rivals, but their new manager may change that. Still, he's only had a short time to work with the squad, and it could just as easily be a bunch of confused players as much as it could be a master ;) plan.....

So bring it on....

Any team news? :)

Wilder's only had a short time to work with the new players, so which (if any) will start?

More likely to revert to the team that played at Derby?

Injuring permitting of course...

Brooks still out? :(

It seems the majority of their fans are really playing this down, and making themselves out to be underdogs. Perhaps they are, but it wasn't so long ago we were being told about La Liga.

Apparently last time they lost more than 2 away games by 2 or more goals (which they just have in the league) it ended with an 8-0 thrashing at Newcastle - dare to dream :)

Be safe lads and lasses, and let's really get behind the team whatever might happen during the early part....

I've noticed our dip in form has coincided with the loss of the usual predictions thread (either that or I keep missing it) not that I'm superstitious or owt, but I feel uneasy going in to a game without posting my stock 2-2 forecast anywhere.

Had a dream last night that Wendy took a 2 goal lead and it finished 8-8.

However my dreams rarely come true, if they did I'd be fed up of shagging Holly Willoughby by now.

On a serious note, right now I am not nervous, I'm excited and looking forward to a Blades victory. 3-1 and Leon to bag (another) brace.

5-0 to us. Clarke hat-trick and one of the newbies scoring with a humiliating own goal to start the rout off.

Us finishing the last five tapping it about to a chorus of "If you're not fucking bouncing, you're a pig!" and those sorry bunch of retards streaming out of the exits, down Bramall Lane, through St Mary's and back home to their stinking pre-fabs somewhere up near Barnsleh.

I loathe these games, not enjoyable at all.

I don't buy into the Wednesday Reserves thing, just look at the value of the squad they have available. But if we play as we can, and don't do anything stupid, we will win. I'm going 2-0.
 
I have had a little throw up into my mouth this morning, quite unpleasant, but that how these games get you!

Derby day. I be lying if i said this isnt the day ive been waiting for since oct 2011 6 1/2 yrs ago since washing machine rugby tackled simonsen & got away with it. To cheat us out of 3pts

But the Derby is hard to call, because i should be confident on paper. we're in better form, at home & manager who knows derby like back of his hand, So should be favs, but despite all the injury talks from s6 (weve got injuries too). Shouldnt disguse under chansiri they probally spent more than we have last 30yrs & new manager bounce terrifies me
 
Funny feeling about tonight. I reckon they could come away with a result. and George Boyd will score.

Nothing to fear here. Virtually their entire first team is out. We win big.
