This is going to be a boring post, but any help appreciated.

I had a total nightmare getting tickets for Sunderland boxing day, as I didn't have my mates personal details to see if they were registered on the ticket system. I was told I could register them online under my account.

I tried to, but couldn't remember my password. I requested a new one and nothing ever came. I called the ticket office who said, well your email is registered so we're not sure.

I tried to register a new account but it states my details are held in the system, so I can't. There seems to be nothing I can do to buy tickets online which is my preference.

Anyone experienced this or have any suggestions that don't involve me smashing my own face in? As I've tried that.

I'd go in or phone and ask them to reset your password to something you would only know if you were you :), I'm sure, despite that being all kinds of open to social engineering, it's likely someone would help you :)

Try your postcode as your password (or your old postcode if you've moved since the system started).

I had a similar issue a while back I was on the system and regularly bought tkts over the phone. When it came to online I couldn't get in despite trying endlessly.

Turns out my email address was missing from the system which stopped me logging in, despite my password being correct.

One call sorted it.

Phone them and explain. I recently registered a second account in my wife's name because we couldn't access the first online. A quick call and they removed the second account and helped me access the first.

i got locked out my account, had to set a new one up. Club wouldnt link my old account as they couldnt access it either so my loyalty points has reset. Not happy me.

Surely with relevant proof/ID they'll sort you this? never known them to be anything but helpful.

I blame the sprocket flange gadgets playing up again. Or the double nipple moistener. Or maybe the it's an issue with the chuck wagon emulsifier.

You're welcome.

I'll call them again tomorrow as the password reset is simply not working. I called them today and they didn't seem to know what to do. Not that they weren't trying to help.

Ask if Carrie or Hayley are around.

Same problem here, in the end I've just gone on the day and hoped for the best and bought them. Not been a problem yet but uptake of tickets is getting higher. Will try that postcode thing though.

Didn't work.

I had the same thing. Turned out it hadn't registered my email address as the point to send the new password to. Phoned and they fixed it

Nice, I'll suggest that tomorrow I when I call.

I just tested mine out from IOM where I now live. Works OK for me and as cannot make tomorrow will watch on Sky. Whilst online for tickets I noticed 27/3 England U21 European Qualifier vs Ukraine. £16 for me and my 22 year old son. Result as back in Sheffield for Easter. At least I get to BDTBL.

Sorted. I am embarrassed to admit what the problem was. I called the ticket office and initially, the young lady was stumped. I then asked for Hayley or Carrie Foxy and I got the delightfully helpful Hayley. She suggested I check my spam/junk mail. I did and there were about 8 emails from SUFC with a password reset:rolleyes:

I could have kicked myself as this has happened before with other businesses. Anyway, thanks for everyone's help and a reminder to check your junk mail if you ever have this issue yourselves.

I believe this is known in the industry as a PICNIC
(Problem In Chair, Not In Computer) ;)
