I really miss our ploughed pitch and, match postponements

Aah. We won on poor pitches :) Funnier than "Duffy will be sold" though, are these gems. Made in a post where someone asked how one could judge players without seeing them. Came the reply, "dont need too" 2016.

Enjoy

"Duffy: No great shakes. Flynn was possibly better. There. It's been said."

(Four months later, no doubt without seeing him "Duffy = well, he is rather talented and valuable to our recent resurgence and current position. And you know what happens to good players who prove their worth toward any promotion campaign, don't you?")

Also reckoned O'Connell was 80% of Collins and McEverley. (Who were both "shitola") .

But , if the rumours are true and we had to sell Murphy , Maguire , DCL , Che Adams and Ramsdale to pay for it is it REALLY worth it ?

thats the most ludicrous mis informed pile of nonsense rumour ive ever read

all clubs who want to play decent football need a decent pitch
no point having decent players if they dont have a decent stage to showcase their talents

I know it's Blade Too Longbut I think you've had a major whoosh moment.

But, not even you, with your global wisdom and assumed superiority can answer that little chestnut, can you? Given Deadbat and many others were giving poor marks and reviews for many of the player of that era, do you need to actually se the players to give pinion on how they were playing- at that time, under a different management regime? All this is a bit lost on you, isn't it?

And given we were underperforming across the team at that time (the results kinda back that up) would your reckon there was some truth in what was said?

Again, you come back on here chipping and quoting aplenty, but in the past six months you yourself have been caught with your kecks round your ankles trying to be super clever and dismally failed to account for shit you have posted.

Nonsense,a bloke whose never set eyes on it says it's a waste of money, and personally speaking,I'm with him

I watched it being laid. We all did.

Its also been on the telly, clever lad.

Here's the argument, once again so you understand.

"'Investing' £1.xm in a new playing surface when the squad needed strengthening and we were selling our better players was possibly not the wisest move by McCabe"

Borne out by everyone (including you) jizzing into a towel that we'd play 'fast, attacking football' and the injuries would be reduced and games not postponed without any evidence to uphold those claims and us being beaten at home several times in the first season on the new surface and a less than satisfactory final position, and us winning away on non Desso pitches

Answer that, and you have a point. Please leave out any Billy Bigger Blade bollocks. It makes you look like a twat.

Just pointing out we can't always be right all the time......

Deadbat and others who had seen them and had opinions based on game time? You posted it, live with it. It was utter shite based on armchair expertise and you're all in a huff about it.

Give me an example. Or do what you did the last time, went missing when asked to provide proof, like the one armed man, after being caught out lying. It's still all there and I know you like a challenge, apart from when you cant walk the walk.

If I could be fucked (which I can't) to troll through previous posts, it may have been the extended pile of nonsense you came out with trying to back WWF up with his 'I know the transfer budget'. Either way, I care not a fucking fig.

Explain the first season defeats on the Desso and away wins on cowfields or admit you don't have a point and are fond of trolling, badly. These destroy any validity of your argument.

Edit
the pitch needed relaying a decent ordinary pitch costs 300 to 500k
its like argueing why you should buy a BMW or a Dacia
which will last longer

how many times with an ordinary pitch did we get 100 points in a season
its paid for itself 50 times over for lifting us out of league one
it was as important as Coutts was in letting us play football

Yeah ... y'see I get the analogy but ...

We buy the Desso (the BMW) and then sell Murphy (the fucking fuel injectors) This after said fuel injectors had been guaranteed to work for three years. We couldn't prevent their sale either, so the BMW sat on the drive for another year.

Hope this helps.

murphy wanted away , he forced the move had we kept the old pitch hed want to move to brighton when he did
his sale had no effect on the desso

he needed decent pitches , as he proved at gillingham where he stood around in protest at it not being decent

the first home defeat on the desso was a litargy of personal errors
unfortunately thats down to players

No, it's like dishing out a tenner for a bottle of fancy water when you can pick one up for a quid. Water is water, grass is grass. Why during the 15/16 season did we, desso turfed Sheff United have a shocking season while ordinary turfed teams gained promotion?

Of course you can't be bothered to make yourself look stupid again. Once more you spout and can't come up with one single example that's truthful.

  1. pommpeyA: WE ARE DESSO!

No one knows the monies available from the owners ...
I think you're wrong there ST. WWF knows. He does. He said so. I can't wait until he tells us as well.

That's my "no one comment". That, according to you is backing WWF up. You're a lying piece of shit. You should be ashamed of yourself, but you'll just carry on stating falsehoods. That's my only comment on "l know the budget" on that thread.

    As I said, you're a liar.

Reasonable question but the decision to install a desso pitch was made after the cup games. Nothing to do with money from player sales. It is documented.

Murphy signed a three year contract with SUFC in January 2015. He played in our fucking woeful drubbing at Gillingham, that's right. Quite where you get the 'he stood around in protest at the state of pitches he wanted to play on' by doing so at an away game to illustrate his needs and wants is a bit puzzling. Got any proof to back this up?

Ah. Good. So the playing staff were substandard? Good. Glad you've agreed with me on that.

Now, how did they win away on substandard pitches that season and continue to lose at home? I've listed them in another thread, somewhere. Maybe Sean can help me out.

Just to help you, in Nov 2015, Shrewsbury (who play on a cowfield as attested) beat us on the Desso)

again your isolating odd games
since the desso was laid weve improved on it as results show
ask WILDER IF HED PREFER PLAYING ON PITCHES LIKE OLDHAMS

Don't good footballers play better on good pitches?
No doubt. The point is that the success of a football club hinges more on good footballers than good pitches. Once you have good footballers, then get a good pitch by all means. Don't put a highly expensive roof on a cardboard house.

And yet, in hindsight, are we not glad to have this pitch in the last season and a half? For a relatively small cost.

Fuck me, you do have a large .xls file on me and my posts, don't you?

I cant work the controls as well as you, and similarly, I can't be fucked. Take it from me, you disappeared on a thread about six months ago. Possibly about the budget, possibly not. I don't get too upset about it. You were wrong. I'm not about to log everything you say and when you said it. Like I say, show us the proof of the pitch and its worth, or shut up. I know you can't, regardless of al your assumed theoretical might.
