Conceding too many goals, having a lot of possession but without Coutts there is no creativity just pointless telegraphed passing that doesn't go anywhere.

Make a change, try something different because this isn't working now.

Come on then knee-jerk, tell us What?
We are not a one man team and Coutts is not the creative one he is controlling.

What are your suggestions?

Need to replace Coutts in January, and that means serious money spending.

Can’t change the formation with the current squad, we don’t have the pace to play 4-4-2 we will just get outnumbered overrun in midfield.

Looks like a confidence thing to me. The shape still looks good, just too many mishit passes at crucial times.

Someone gets on the end of 1 or 2 of the crosses Bash put in tonight and we're all raving about how Lundstram has stepped up. He didn't have too bad a game this afternoon.

Knee jerk after 1 point in 9? Star player out and system fails just shows the importance of Coutts doesn't it? Try 4-4-2 perhaps?
Coutts is not the Star player. We do not have stars .just players that are good solid pros.

CCV is having a bit of a mare last few games. With Stearman fit he might use him with Write and Jack and Baldock and Stevens out wide.

Go on then. With the current fit members of the squad how does a 442 line up look?

Moore back in net
Stevens/Baldock (when fit) full backs
JOC/plus 1 of Wright/Stearman/Vickers
Basham/Fleck midfield
Brooks/Duffy wider with licence to drift
Clarke/Sharp/Donaldson

More of a direct approach.

Whats up with CCV he has been poor the last few games he was commanding when he first arrived, not anymore.

Does the relegation battle start here?

I realise this is a joke but 55 points was always the first target and remains so.

People relying on the JTW for a Coutts replacement? We would need to spend £5 - £10m for anyone of similar quality and then hope they hit the ground running, we aren’t spending that much of four players never mind one.

One more chance for Lundstrum next week and one more chance for this current formation without Coutts and then it’s rethink time.

Maybe not but he did a job no-one else in the squad is capable of doing.
It is not the midfield that is costing us. We were controlling the game and werelooking good till they scored the second.

At the moment it's just a bad run. I don't think whole sale changes are needed at all. A few tweaks are necessary mainly having a genuine right back fit and taking Carter Vickers out. Solving the Coutts conundrum is obviously the most difficult thing. I don't think Lundstram did bad at all today but he's not adding enough creativity or protecting the back 4 enough right now. I think our options at the moment are playing Fleck in the Coutts role and Carruthurs given a go or Basham in midfield and a slight change of play that helps protect the back 4.

Could say that we're too positive.

We were right on top at the point that Jack O'C goes on that bursting run out of defence, loses the ball, & leaves us short at the back - unfortunately Millwall go on & take full advantage of the situation.

Long may we be "too positive" though - it makes us a joy to watch, even if it means disappointing days like today.

Coutts is too easy an excuse. If non of the lads can suitably fill in then obviously a replacement will need to be found but the rest of the lads need to have a word with themselves. Were the furthest from a one man team iv ever seen us be and Coutts injury is not a good enough excuse for the drop in performances. Iv no doubt Wilder will at least keep us up there until January where he needs to be backed. But our defense are letting themselves down and I hope baldock being back will steady things up by bringing basham back in the middle. Personally I'd change the back 3 to the old team of bash, JOC and wright and even possibly switch moore back in.

I’d go with giving Fleck the Coutts role. Not sure about Bash in midfield, I know he played there at the sty but Coutts ran the midfield that day, he isn’t there now and Bash could looked a bit exposed there now.

Agree Moore should come in, everything that goes at Jamal seems to go in, he's also not a talker, we need that leadership from the GK the way the defence are leaking silly goals.

Defending doesn't start with the defenders though. As others have said, they're not getting the protection they were before.

As I said in the shout box, I think we've won one and lost four of the six games Lundstram has started. Not sure on the total stats for games Coutts hasn't played but I'm guessing they're not exactly stellar.
