Just had a look and he’s second favourite for the job. I know he’s been linked occasionally with Everton and Leicester but he’s one of the early front runners here.

He's bound to be - he's one of the best British managers. Right now, he would only even contemplate leaving us if it was Barcelona, Real Madrid, Man U, Chelsea, Livepool, Spurs, Arsenal asking and that isn't going to happen because (with the exception of Arsenal maybe) their current managers are going nowhere and they lack the imagination to take a risk on an up and coming English manager.

SkyBet have him at 16/1? Even fucking Megson is at 10's. Hardly nailed on.

Turning a boring and defensive Pulis side into an exciting, attacking Wilder side would be a gigantic task. You're not going to get time to make a success of that kind of task in the Premier League

Sooner or later a PL chairman will be really brave and ignore the obvious; I read this earlier and it emphasises the importance of having the right manager (http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/41902664). Howe, Dyche and Wilder are the most talented English managers in the game.

Apart from being in the division above, WBA offer nothing that SUFC can't provide. They are closing in on a relegation dogfight, we are embracing our chase for promotion, so there's a real and genuine likelihood of swapping places with one another. Some jobswap, uh?

Here we go again...

Has Carlos fundamentally ruled himself out yet?

More chance of them appointing Sir Alex.

Ha ha...this is getting boring.
Wilder will be on the early list for every PL management vacancy, that’s how the bookies work.
They have to come up with names to encourage some interest in gambling.

Disagree....if you have milllions and can afford a manager with a great cv
Then why would you go for the cheap option and gamble on someone with a poor cv (relative to the PL) and limited experience?
Also the fan base would be in uproar and the club would be under immediate pressure.

If Wilder went to the PL there could even be another Di Caneo situation.
Wilder has no experience dealing with millionaire players and egos, no experience of foreign players.
If he goes in and demands 100% effort, demands better fitness, dishes out extra training, criticises the players etc
then there could be a mutiny like with Di Caneo at Sunderland.

I don't think Wilder will be wanted (yet); if I were John Williams at WBA I'd go for either Howe or Dyche because they're proven, not a gamble, have decent experience but not as expensive as a foreign 'name' so commercially sound too.

I was speaking to a pig that is apparently close to Wilder, and the only way he’d leave us is if a massive club or the England job came up.

This is of course assuming all other things stay equal and the board continues to support him.

Just had a quick look on one of WBA forums. CW hardly gets a mention on a 11 page thread. One fan does suggest him but back tracks 3 pages later.
Brentford and Fulhams manager seem more popular than CW.

Why would either of those leave to go to WBA??????

success always will have people linked look at micheal oneill, but am I wrong I thinking that in club stature we are same level, if not a bit bigger. because i had look at average attendances 2016/17 & this season
2016/17 WBA PL - 23876 Utd L1 - 21892
2017/18 WBA PL - 24143 Utd champ - 26259

It’s all about timing and development.
At the moment CW is in a fantastic situation at SU.

It would take something special for him to leave.
The only REALLY big club that he could be offered and would be seriously tempting is Everton.
Not many people realise that Everton and Aston Villa are historically 2 of the biggest clubs in England, both massive clubs.
At the moment I think Everton are the only club he could realistically be offered and he’d leave us for.
Thankfully for us don’t believe there’s any desire from Everton fans to consider CW.

The last time WBA were of any entertainment value was in the era of fat Ron and the three degrees. They've wallowed in mediocrity ever since and don't even get me going on that fucking nauseating grating accent they speak in. And now they've got that prize twat in charge. Put that lot together and no self-respecting Blade is going anywhere near the place. Chill.

My source said it would take a bigger club than Everton.
