Not heard anything of him since he was signed.
Not breaking into the 1st team? Injured? Other problems? Anyone know?
Same with that Nathan Thomas, he was meant to be good as well.

He was stood next to Ched on Saturday looking bored and a spare part while everyone asked for Ched's autograph and selfies... Poor lad.

Would imagine he was signed with a 'one for the future' in mind.

I imagine him and Thomas are desperately waiting for the FA cup so they can have a kick.

Fitness concerns? As a team we're ridiculously fit, so maybe they're not quite there.

It's very hard to see him getting in the squad anytime soon.

Maybe an unnecessary signing.

Like Thomas, he's a bit of a punt. Typically one of them will come off and one of them won't.

I'd consider loan moves for these two in January.

By the way, they're just two of the many many players affected by the needless closure of the loan window. If it wasn't for that they could be out getting games now, at least on short term loans. Such a stupid decision. Modify by all means, but why close it completely?

Wilder said when we signed him that he was one for the future and that there was lots of work to do with him. Great that we're now in a position to be forward planning as opposed to fire fighting. For what it's worth friends up in Scotland speak highly of him, we've had a strong Scottish contingency for a while now.

The standard of football in the SPL or whatever it is called now is not very high. Couple this with the form of our team and you have your answer to the OP.

He’s was a punt and signed for cover I believe.

Not had a pre-season though so won’t be up to this squads fitness level

Thomas refused a loan move in August and wanted to stay and fight for a place.

It's a long season and he along with Thomas is playing regularly with the U23s. Not the same gravy as first team but still they aren't exactly surplus to requirements just yet.

No guarantees that CCV will stay beyond January or that he won't fall out of favour and tiredness elsewhere could open the door for Thomas' pace and directness later on.

Spot on regarding the loan window. Heneghan and Thomas could be out somewhere, even just for a month or two; Eastwood as well since Moores been back. And thats just from us. How many young lads are nowhere near their first teams and kicking their heels out there? The kid from Watford we were in for as an example; half a season absolutely wasted for him (no thanks to his agent).

Typical of the governing bodies to actually create a culture of the “big clubs” hoovering up young players by rigging the system (how they slipped that one through is beyond comprehension), and with the other hand hampering the only realistic way of allowing these players to get games and develop. Not only does it absolutely stink, but it makes absolutely no sense whatsoever for ANY party.

He's an absolute unit about 6'5 i think. Remember, for him to break into our first team at RCB or LCB, he needs to do more than just defend. He's got to be able to have pace to get round the opposition full back and be able to whip a ball in too. Basham and JOC are ideal in these roles at 6'3 they're solid enough defensively and have played full back in their careers but arent quite good enough at this level as out and out full backs in a 4. Perfect for our system because they're both half way between the two roles. Unless Heneghan can play in the middle with the same intelligence and physicality as CCV or Wright, I can't see him getting near the first team until we change the system.

Sam graham is competition for him as well I'd have thought.
Knocking on the door apparently.

It's probably a bit galling when he's being kept out by a loan player.
But don't forget this was supposed be a consolidation season. Nobody expected the boys to be playing so well. They are simply unstoppable.

A sensible comment.

Wilders had him in the office a couple times ,and told him to be patient, And his time will come. (Friend of his family told me ) Wilder told him he had high hopes for him

Santa is definitely coming to our house this year (friend of his wife told me), told me to be patient though as hes got alot on, but there definitely wont only be one fat man in red n white handing out gifts at ours this year!!
Hopefully, that means il get something to open this year too, but if the twat thinks I'm sharing the 2 bottles of lager and kebab that the kids leave out for 'Santa', he's got another thing coming!

After we resume on 17th November, there's nine games coming up through to the end of December. CW will need to be dipping into his squad to cover injuries, tiredness, suspensions, etc.

It was imposed on us by UEFA. I don't think it's been a good idea but what do you expect from the corrupt twats.

Completely agree. Some teams did abuse the system by constantly signing short term loan players, but it has a place to plug gaps cause by injury and suspension, and also got players on the first team fringes valuable experience.

Surely a better system would have been to perhaps limit the number of short term loans you can make in one season to 3 or 4.

The main reason they give is that the emergency loan window "damages the sporting integrity of the league".

If it does, then it doesn't need to. Why not limit the number of 'emergency' loan signings per club? Why not only allow loans until January, but with recall options? Is a 2 or 3 month loan 'damaging the league's integrity' much more than a 4 month August to January loan?

It's not going to stop the top clubs stockpiling youngsters. It's only going to continue being a negative for player development. Whilst not really benefiting anything else in any way.

Was wondering the same the other day. However we are exceptionally strong in that area. Would like to see him go out on loan in January to a league one club

He`s from Manchester.
