Edwards 1983, is the stat doing the rounds. More interesting to me is, has anyone, for any pro club, scored 4 in as few minutes? 35 mins I think, from his first to when he went off.

Turned to my Dad after his fourth went in and said I don't think I've ever seen anyone score 4 at Bramall Lane, he said he saw Keith Edwards do it in 1983 or something.

Bang on, he might be otherwise pretty radged but his United knowledge is flawless.

What's even weirder is that Keith Edwards is in the program today, they're comparing him to Evans.

I was at the Gillingham game when Edwards scored four. It even got a mention on MOTD from Jimmy Hill that night, which kids you will have to belive me was a big thing in those days.

Today's was the first 4-goal haul for a United player since Keith Edwards scored all four in a 4-0 at home to Gillingham on Aug. 27, 1983.

In the same season (1983-84) Keith Edwards scored four in a 5-1 win at Wrexham in the first round of the FA Cup.

And yes, Alan Woodward scored 4 in our 7-0 home win against Ipswich on 27th November, 1971.
