Yep. that's exactly how I remember it too.
I knew we we're in trouble before the teams even came out, the atmosphere was electric and the place was rocking.
Just unfortunate for us that we happened to be the opposition on the day, they would have smashed anyone.
I knew we were in trouble when Mr Warnock, in his wisdom, decided to let Matthew "Powder puff" Kilgallon mark John Carew!!! Warnock also made a similar selection cock up for the Wigan game when he was that fucking concerned with stopping McSheffrey (with Jags at right back) that he forgot that Emile Heskey was one of the few opposing strikers who Claude Davis could actually compete against. As a result, Heskey won virtually everything in the air and made a significant contribution to their win.
