MR Adkins is a popular choice tonight it seems,Donny fan would like him at the helm
 
I was really excited when Adkins was announced as our manager and I thought he would be really good! In his defense he inherited a bloated squad with some payers who were not fit to wear the shirt. He couldn't get rid of the dross and was unable to bring in much quality. He did bring in Billy, but also brought in Hammond! He seemed unable to motivate players like Coutts and Freeman, and talked utter rubbish after most games most notably in trying to defend Hammond's unseen work. His tactics were incomprehensible and the football utterly ineffective. Actually he was quite shit wasn't he!
 
He saw Murphy sold almost the second he had walked through the door and signed Sharp. For those reasons alone I am tempted to cut Adkins some slack.
On the hand bringing in both Woolford and Hammond were spectacular misjudgements and no doubt cost us a fortune for fuck all in return.

Overall it's just one part of a period in our history that I hope I don't remember much about soon, but history overall will judge Adkins as a very good manager whether we like it or not. He has got a lot more right than wrong in his career so far, it just wasn't to be in our case but as they say it's always the darkest before the dawn.

Forgot all about Woolford! Bloody Woolford!
 
Well I for one hope that if Adkins is considered to be a man for the Pigs he gets the job and he performs at a level similar to us. But thinking about it, he job he did with Southampton which involved taking over some good players and just picking the side.
Do the pigs have similar quality? Frankly....no. Good players? Begrudgingly yes. Better than ours and the rest of the division? No chance. So although it would be tough I could see him doing ok.

Anyway, all pie in the sky, Carloss is still 2 defeats away from the sack. Lose the next 2, or fail to win 3 of the next 5 he’s gone.

What a laff it would be if every player and manager who had signed a contract in good faith were made to honour it . This season in particular I do wish it were so

Carlos is "allegedly" put there by the Hillsborough Overlords at Doyen - He wont be going anywhere unless he really fucks up their game plan
 
We really did have some shit players under Adkins. Woolford,Hammond and salmon!!. 3 players who were definitely never fit to wear a blades shirt!!. Unfortunately they'll always be part of our history. I hope that if Adkins does end up at the sty!. Those three twats will have a chance of a final huge pay packet!!. In wilder we trust. UTB
