He saw Murphy sold almost the second he had walked through the door and signed Sharp. For those reasons alone I am tempted to cut Adkins some slack.
On the hand bringing in both Woolford and Hammond were spectacular misjudgements and no doubt cost us a fortune for fuck all in return.
Overall it's just one part of a period in our history that I hope I don't remember much about soon, but history overall will judge Adkins as a very good manager whether we like it or not. He has got a lot more right than wrong in his career so far, it just wasn't to be in our case but as they say it's always the darkest before the dawn.
