Fleck in my opion was the Best player in League one last season, outstanding in so many games and a lynch pin of the three man formation.

This season after a steady start where he has been in the shadow of the phenomenal rise of Paul Coutts he has started to emerge again as a terrific player, the goal and performance at the sty which where understandably if unfairly overshadowed by other moments deserve more reflection, watch that game back again if you don't believe me.

Then came that lapse of concentration at Forest that cost a goal and Coutts' suspension leaving him as the senior partner for the Ipswich game...

Was he going to fold, was he going to hide as the Coventry fans claimed he did in hard times? ...

Not a bit of it.. I fully understand the praise for Basham and Duffy and Lundstrum today, they were great, but Fleck was everywhere, filling the Coutts role of taking the ball off the back three, making the key pass, getting forward to make the match winning cross...

What a player he is.

What a manager we have to sign him.

What were Scotland thinking?

What wr=ere Scotland thinking ?Strachan must have thought he was too wee !!

Duffy was my MOTM today but first half [in particular] Fleck was also immense. At half time I thought to myself, I bet there hasn't been a better midfield performance in this league today. The pair of them absolutely bossed it and Lundstrum played his part as well.

When you factor in Paulio, have we ever had a better midfield, or at least one that is as good to watch?

After a slightly worrying start to the season by him, he has really stepped up his game and looks like the player we hoped he would be in this division. And yes, he was immense at times today. For me though, Its Coutts so far, player of the season, and maybe Duffy next.

Be happy, we are still under the radar. You can , at this moment , get odds of 6/4 about a team who is 2 points from the top, finishing in the top six.

This season's been great so far but that 4 year contract for Fleck is right up there with the biggest positives.

Fleck is by some way our best player. He the only one I can see establishing himself in the Premier League.

No one has won more games in any division with more assists / goals in the last two seasons than John Fleck

It was never in doubt. Hes a very talented lad.

Had no doubts he'd make the step up. And if I'm honest Ive Still not seen a central midfielder as good as fleck so far this season.

Quite the shit stained lacy thong that post.

I certainly see J o'C being capable of long term stepping up. I also think in Enda Stevens we have a full back who has the potential to perform to the level of Matt Lowton who has done okay at the top level - his age may be the only thing to hold him back.

Given the right manager and right role, a few of our lads may do okay lower end of the Prem. Hopefully with us of course.

Suppose We'll find out next season

He is an outstanding footballer. Part of the best CM pair I have ever seen line up for UTD.

Ham and eggs :)
