any in the know out there have any updates on the injuries?

Baldock - how bad and how long?
Freeman - as above
Billy - fully fit for Ipswich?
Lavery - how much longer?
Hanson - available soon?

Any other knocks?

International break at the right time?

Sharp was "10 days into a 3 week recovery" when we played Wednesday which puts him back at full fitness around now.

Evans is out; he's due to undergo ankle surgery this week. Not sure how long his recovery will be.

Stearman should be back after the break.

Stearman is back fit i think Sharpy should be as well, Hanson was back training for the Wednesday game so he should be fit, Baldock not sure yet, freeman will be back fit i expect (might say the same with Baldock depending on what injury he got) Lavery will be wearing a mask as others have mentioned Ched will be back around early to mid November time

Baldock is a calf injury, which I think is the same injury that kept him out at the start of the season.

Freeman has broken ribs, I don't think, from my own experience of broken ribs twice, that he will be fit just yet! I might be very wrong as he might have some special powers, but broken ribs take a while to heel.

True.

Loose his influence elsewhere, but I guess we have cover there. Lundstram is going to get his run....

If baldock and Freeman are injured, who plays right back?

Basham?

Could be an issue.

I don't think Basham is a terrible option as third choice right wing back.

But we could always play Stevens or Lafferty there. Traditionally, full backs/wingers are able to play on either flank without too much concern.

Same position, just need to use their weaker foot more often. Could be an advantage when cutting inside.

I'd agree with that post 100%.

I'd go Stevens at right back, as you say cutting inside, as his deliveries inswinging towards goal could wreak havoc for opposition defences.

Is there anyone in the youths that could potentially make the step up for a game or 2?

Personally, I think playing Basham in the wing back role wouldn't be a good decision. He's got the energy for it, but lacks the pace & attacking prowess that we need to be effective down the flanks. It's a big part of our game & we really need a round peg for that particular round hole IMO.

Lavery is available. Will be playing in a mask.

If we were to go with a left footer on the right I’d be more inclined to put Lafferty there. Stevens has more pace so is better at getting round the outside of his man so being on the left suits him more. Lafferty likes to slow it down a bit at times and drift infield so being on the wrong side might be less of a hindrance to him.

Alternatively, there’s Jake Bennett who by all accounts looked pretty good there against Walsall.

But do we know they were definitely broken as opposed to badly bruised?

If so, I think it’s usually about 6-8 weeks it?
