Now that Moore is back to full fitness anyone else think he should he be back in the team ?
IMO Whilst Blackman has done ok I just don't think he inspires confidence in his back three. There have been a number of times crosses that he should have taken he has hesitated and the ball has flashed across the goal with us being lucky not to concede. Also some of the goals we have conceded looked potentially saveable,
Moore bosses the defensive line which is almost certainly due to his greater experience and just seems a safer pair of hands to me.
Be interesting to see who gets the nod against Ipswich

we are Third in the table and not exactly racking up defeats, I think he as been solid and I think Wilder as said once you have the shirt and your opportunity it is yours to lose, so Moore will have to push in training and show he is better than Blackman, I personally think leave it as it is unless Moore as a corker and Wilder gives him the nod, In Wilder we trust.

Blackman's improved since he came in. His height has been vital in dominating for crosses, and the fact that with him in goal we've climbed to 3rd in the table, for me that's enough to say keep thins as they stand. I think this concentration on weaknesses tends to turn a blind eye to what he does well. As Wilder has said, it's not about sentiment, so keep faith with those players who deserve to keep their position. Should that situation change, that's the time to turn to the next man. We've got a good squad, and having two decent keepers is something we should be grateful for.

Jamal is just a beast. Just looking at him he towers over most. He catches nearly everything in the air. his kicking is suspect (occasionally.) No one would fancy taking him on one on one. He does sometimes appear too casual tho I have never seen a keeper so laid back, but having said that I wouldn't swap him for moore. I wonder if his confidence might crack if we have a wobble but so far he has looked a class addition!

Honestly, I have a feeling we'd let more in with Moore in goal.

Blackman has weaknesses, kicking is iffy sometimes and sometimes I feel like he could do better with shots like the first goal at Forest, but there's no guarantee that Moore would do better at those, and his size and reach is great for grabbing stuff out of the air. He was a bit hesitant at first but he has improved massively in just 11 games at this level.

Really that's the crux for me, he is already very solid and has shown in only a handful of games that he is improving, we've never been thumped, and the communication with the defenders looks alright and can only get better.

That's why for my money you can't take him out unless he has a run of extremely bad performances.

Moore in the FA cup though definitely if no other chances present themselves like a knock for Jamal.

Is it international break again already?

Today alone we've had a thread on who we need to buy in January now this...

At least the Ones questioning whether Billy is up to the task have taken a back seat.

We're third in the bloody league, playing the best/most attacking football in the league and all some want to do is focus on what we haven't got and try to find faults when their really aren't any.

Which is another way of saying, "wait until it breaks before you fix it".
Well yes possibly, but as you’re aware, as an engineer, I can verify that the instances of people creating problems that weren’t there far outweigh the ones that occur naturally. It’s a pity footballers don’t have self-test diagnostics that warn managers of impending crap performances.

How are you didling by the way mate, keeping that reprobate Adey and the Pigs in check?

I like Blackman. But he's hesitant coming off his line for the ball when it's played in behind. There's not much between himself and Moore. So for me, he stays in... for now.

I think Moore will be back for the Ipswich game, Blackman has done little wrong and I belive his huge frame contributed to the Wolves penalty miss.

But Moore fills me with more confidence.

Blackman is cover, he's not our p!ayer, he's there because our player was injured. If our player (Moore) isn't good enough then we need a new keeper, not someone to cover...

Not seen anything to justify dropping him, quite the reverse in fact.

If your going to keep on playing a cover keeper what message are you sending to your own Keeper after he's let in two goals ?

Id personally stick Moore back in even tho Blackman has done an ok job. Moore had done little wrong before getting injured so deserves his place back and Blackman will be a quality backup when needed and can play all the cup games too keep him sweet. Only my opinion tho as a GK myself id expect to walk back in to the team ahead of any loan or inexperienced keeper. UTB

Moore, whilst improving on Long still made a few errors.

Did poorly at Scunny away for one.

I don’t recall any Blackman moments where I thought him at fault.

Keeps the shirt for me.
