What are people's genuine thoughts on this? To be honest I get a little frustrated when I see people saying it's far too early to talk about promotion or league position. Yes it's been 10 games and all that, with a very long way to go, but that shouldn't take away from the belief that is with the fans and the squad right now. Maybe it's just our pessemistic nature due to the recent past and knowing how quickly things can unravel for us.

However for me, there is something truly special happening at Sheffield United right now, something we've waited a long time for.
We have guts, quality, work ethic and a manager who will be remembered forever for how he has turned us around.

Back to the point, I'm starting to think we might just pull it off again. Look at the teams we have played, ok only one in the top 6 as the moment and consequently above us in cardiff. Other than that we have played some 'big' names and dispatched most of them comfortably. What's to say we can't continue this with a bit of strengthening in Jan.

Good times ahead I feel.

Apart from Wolves.

Why not and seriously. I'm an owl and not 1 of these who can't give credit where it's due. It's been done before by clubs and will again.

It's early days but as things are going I wouldn't be surprised if we managed another promotion this season.Mind you,it would have to be auto.Playoffs might even be beyond CW.;)

Maybe, don't know, who knows.

Those were also my comments throughout last season, up until the game where it was mathematically confirmed that we were up.

Anything could happen. Maybe the apcolapyse, who knows. Only Jesus knows.

There's a similar "feel" to the promotion seasons under Bassett, for me anyway...
The feelgood factor is back, and a fearless spirit among supporters and the team,we are making our own luck, and the springs have seemingly broken in s6....

I liked Bassett as a no nonsense manager gave the fucks out to players when deserved. It's the sort of manager we need .

Strangely I'd actually fancy us in a one off game at Wembley with Wilder in charge.
So long as it wasn't against t'pigs.

That said, it really is far too early to be thinking of such things. I'm just enjoying it while it lasts.

Seriously, I am just happy for us to carry on showing the commitment to perform on the pitch. 50 points is the first target. This La Liga is much tougher than 6 seasons ago

Everybody needs to be careful about what they say.
Talking about promotion and we sound pig like, if it backfires we are there to be shot at
Talking our chances down sounds like good old typical Sheffield United

Just take every game as it comes, just carry on taking the game to anybody that we play, no pressure, if we win celebrate like crazy, if we don't it's not the end of the world.
Do that and let's see where we end up

we've got previous ;)

Im just enjoying the ride. There will be bad times im sure, but heck this is exciting isnt it!

Which works is it?
I did work in wombwell at the steel/iron factory. Unfortunately it shut down a few years ago due to bad management .I can remember the sulphur fumes though from polystyrene moulds and that was a killer to breathe in.

No. There are teams with more power and pace than us. In particular I have been impressed by Cardiff and Leeds. Think Preston will be in the mix as well. Come January teams like Boro, Wolves and Villa will spend big to gain the advantage and we won't be able to compete.

I am impressed by our team, we are good. Yesterday I watched the entire game actually expecting us to win. Not felt like that for ages, even last season. However, I think we will be in the play off mix but not auto.

Enjoy the moment now...if we stay up there into 2018 it’ll be a great season whatever.

UTB!

Sssshhhhh! You'll wake the footballing gods. Even the faintest whiff of hubris and their wrath knows no bounds. Look what they've done to the pigs this week.
