Once a Blade, always a daft ****
First of all, I have to say that I'm a big advocate of the managements training methods
The fact that the players train with the same high intensity as they do during a league match appears to be a success, with our win ratio being one of the best in the country.
Now of course this can be partially due to other contributory factors such as tactics, player quality etc
In view of our current injury list, I wonder how many of those injuries can be contributed to the training methods as opposed to receiving injury on match day, or I wonder if some injuries could be indirectly related? The term over training is a phrase that has been used in the past resulting in higher risk to injury during match day
Obviously, we know about Freeman and Lavery's match day injuries, which were just unfortunate, but a lately
there's been a number of training injuries that have come to light and losing all our strike force recently just had me thinking
Even thinking about the Donaldson injury, was there a chance he arrived, wasn't used to the training intensity, bearing in mind he wasn't playing much previously, then straight into a competitive match that contributed to the hamstring problem?
Any thoughts?
