Coutts FA probe

Got to agree with Sean Thornton and Fulwood Blade danny. Just because a few posters agreed or appeared to agree, well it doesn't stand as a majority decision, let alone a unanimous choice.

Personally I'm delighted Coutts is back and able to play, I bet Wilder feels exactly the same way (as I'm sure you do deep down, go on, you know you do!)./QUOTE]
I would disagree there.
And what do you mean implying that I'm not happy with it? I'm over the moon, missing Fleck or Coutts could've been catastrophic.

I just think he's got away with one, as simple as that. As glad as I am he has.
Don't get me wrong the play acting didn't help but it often fools refs so I wouldn't have been surprised to see it fool a panel either.

Alan Biggs also said a ban was 'likely'...

Can I offer an explanation? It's because in the week before a derby game three quarters of the posters on here turn into neurotic little girls.

If the Third World War was announced in five minutes I can guarantee the first post on here about it would be 'does this mean the derby is cancelled?'

It'd carry on, but with a "Threads" theme, Or in other words, any given day in Hillsborough ;)

Available in all good newsagents. I'm too busy making tea to do your work for you.

You have 50 years experience in journalism and newspapers? Great effort!
don't always see eye to eye with Pichy but he's on the money with this one

On other pages, no mention of Owls kit not having arrived.

Goes to show just how informed Biggs is then...

I'm glad you're not upset, I'd much prefer we all got behind Coutts and whoever else is selected.

The whole notion of whether Coutts fouled the player seems to have become a matter of faith for some. Football is a tough game, and the number of fouls, niggly or outright vicious, perpetrated on guys like Coutts often goes without comment. Whilst not defending that a player becomes nasty, I do like the attitude that says 'I won't be intimidated'. Most importantly we go into the derby in a far stronger position than we imagined.

Ah, got you.

Maybe all three thought it was a red but one of them was Adkins and no one was sure what he was on about and just gave up.
Adkins isn't an ex ref so he isn't on the panel for these type of incidents, it's only ex refs.

Adkins is on the panel that decides whether precious fannies have conned a ref by diving to get penalties or a player sent off etc. If Norwich's antics had been referred he'd have had enough work to last until Christmas.

I agree with this.

Ahem, another example of how "informed" Biggs is.

Life and the Blades, mate.

It was always the stage or the quill for me. I have managed to combine the two. At, I'm afraid I must add, a significantly higher level than a local paper, given that you raise the matter.

The Star is not available in any newsagent to which I have reasonable access. If you want to back off from £100 that's up to you. It's a shame you won't lift a finger for that purpose. Perhaps, secretly, you share my 100% certainty in the outcome?

Have you re-ordered the blue ink or is that beneath you as well?

Yes. Lucky.

A flailing arm to the face is plenty enough to get a retrospective ban these days whether you like it or not.

Look at the reactions on this thread after Foxy put the clip up... everyone was saying it was a certainty he’d be getting banned

I'm going to ask "Wolves fans". They'll know.

Got a scoop right here.

"First batch of kits finally arrive from manufacturer via the River Don"

I couldn't care less if he studded him clean in the face as long as he doesn't get banned, I just personally think he is lucky in this day and age the FA didn't find issue with what he did. Why you think I'd be upset to see our key midfielder not banned for the biggest game of the season is beyond me.

What level's that then?
Copies sent out for October - not a problem. How would you like to pay for them?

The closer we get to Sunday's game, the more you appear to be on edge fella. What is it the young 'uns say? Take a chill pill, or summat like that. Slow day in the creative writing department?

That's odd. It was out of the question earlier today. Send me the invoice along with the Wednesday photos.
