Wouldn't it be great to be singing
"United, United. Top of the league" at the sty?

Their piggy little snouts will be reyt out of joint.

Having said that I still think it'll be the dirty one that will be in that position come Sunday week.

As we would probably lose in the play-offs, I'd take the double now thank you very much. Plus, I'd want to go up as Champions next season. Be nice for Sir Chris to have won all divisions below the Prem......
Yeah but that would ruin his promotion run.

I'd rather let lose to them and have a crack at the playoffs myself, it didn't do Huddersfield any harm.

Yes, abso-fucking-lutely a free hit against the pigs...

'Great win at Norwich last week boys, absolutely superb so it means that today is a free game. Win or lose, it's been a great week'..

Says Wilder 0 times out of 100.

What would you prefer - beating them twice and finishing mid table or losing twice and finishing in the playoffs?

and if the 6 points lost keep us in the play offs and cost us automatic?

All bollocks, it doesn't work like that. Ask all the piggy twats who wanted them to lose the L Cup in '93 because them and The Arse were going to win one each and they wanted the FA Cup. Deluded fuck wits.
3 points of at the sty will sit fine with me.

I know what the opp is saying, if you look at it pragmatically and ignore the rivalry, away to a £50m team that have finished top 6 in the last 2 seasons is one you wouldn't be gutted about losing.

Derbys are separate to the league IMO and bring their own pressure but it's really nice that if we do lose it doesn't put us in any trouble, so the pressure of that at least is off. Nothing worse than going into a derby needing the points.

It'd be nice if we can get more points than them on Saturday so they can't go above us. It's an easy comeback then.

It all depends on them regarding the result though. We know how united will play but it depends on how they turn up.

I won't be too down if we lose.

Spot o

im not thinking about the trip to the Nou Sty just yet. Still on a high from Tues. All focus is taking the game to Norwich, I really think we can damage them from the off. Hoping Donaldo is fit.
Nou sty!! lol

Obviously as an owl I'm hoping for a Wednesday win,I hope though that whichever team what wins on the day deserved it with good football.just hope it's not a boring draw with both sides sat back willing to take a point.

NO,the two games against the 'unclean' are the most important this season, they can never be a 'free hit',they matter far to much !!

Rarely classics to be fair are they? Attritional, nervy, gut churning, and thats just the fucking pies at your place :)

Or he could be saying "Hey, it's turned noon somewhere, right?"

I think a man as far down the well as he was would not have need that excuse, after brushing his teeth in the morning he would use Vodka for mouth wash only not spitting it out, followed by vodka on cornflakes without the cornflakes, then an Irish coffee to complete the morning then of down to the lane, driving of course.

Beat Norwich, draw at Pigs.

If the Pigs fail to beat us at their place after all the condescending comments about how big and frightening the Championship is they will look complete berks.

A free hit, not sure about that! It's the possibility of been drawn into a rough game that worries me. Red and yellow cards waved needlessly, I remember the Killgannon incident.
Dirty tactics that can put key players out for weeks, remember that git Johnson on Jamie Ward, the Naughton elbow, the list goes on......
And don't trust the refs.
I've got a very nasty feeling certain players will be on a hit list and be targeted. But, I do trust Wilder and Knill to get the lads heads in the right place beforehand. It's a long season, let's consider that. UTB.

And grind their fucking faces in the dirt in doing it.....

Either at the Sty or BDTBL I would like Clarke and Lavery to score, that would be poetic, but more than anything I want Billy Sharp to score, at the sty, in front of the unclean, so he can race along the touchline, holding his Blades badge on his shirt in one hand, and a fist in the air with the other. There would be some sad faces in Penistone, Hoyland and Wombwell that night, and much rejoicing in the city of Sheffield.

And Barnsleh. That's where they are all from, innit?

Fuckin' piggy cunts.
