Scott & Simon McCabe stepping down

All very unclear. But the possibility of McCabe being replaced by someone with the ambition and money to take us forward is welcome. Clubs with far less potential than us have attracted big investment. Hopefully it's our turn.

Perhaps we could pretend that we've got some sponsorship from other Arab friends of the Princes family?
What about Qatari Airways?
 
Well no doubt all those on here who have been calling for KM to go will be delighted. For my part I am very concerned that these moves mean he might be thinking of selling or stepping down. Whilst I would welcome the introduction of more investment into the club I would hate to think the club was being run simply by investors who are not true supporters and who may have no empathy with the club and its supporters. I sincerely hope that KM will remain involved at board level and with major influence on its affairs going forward.

Tutton specialising in mergers and disposals brought in on behalf of the McCabes and Yusuf Giansiracusa brought in by the Prince who specialises in mergers and acquisitions might suggest otherwise

Might take some time, but I suspect there's more to this than meets the eye

I can't see Kevin McCabe leaving United until he has a decent chunk of the money he's spent on United back. I m not saying I don't blame him.
It's what you call an investment, McCabe has and always will be a businessman first and foremost.
Not saying he hasn't wanted the best for United though, but business is business.

That's probably correct B58, but he said that he would bring investors onboard to finance a Premier push didn't he so I assume they will have a bob or two.

It could be that things are slowly gaining momentum and by next season at least we'll be able to compete at the top end financially, but like others have said, there's as much chance that this could not be good news and so hopefully the situation will be clarified PDQ.

I do have a few sore misgivings but for now I'll keep on using the cream. ;)
 
I have decided to believe that this is the start of something big and good.

It was always said that Prince (or Symbol - whatever he is called!) would up investment when we got in The Champ. He may not be a money tree but he has friends and family with gold trunks and branches just waiting to fruit.

The fact that he was patient enough to put a little in and wait until we were in a really positive state suggests that he's not a hands on, my way or the highway sort of guy. He'd have to be some sort of idiot not to see what we have got with Tufty.

I just dream of Tufty in a transfer window with a big bag of money grinning and saying I'm not gonna spunk it but I'm sure as fuck gonna spend it on something good! Some agents may live to regret pissing him about.

Figurehead? About as much power and influence upon his country's government and religion as a gnat's fart in a desert storm. Can you take your moral outrage somewhere else please. Preferably somewhere it can be used effectively and constructively.
