Many of you Blades older than me will have seen this documentary or know about it.

Many Blades my age may have heard about it, but have never seen it.

Well yesterday i watched a 3 hour dvd with all 6 half hour episodes on it.

more on it here, http://boards.footymad.net/forum.php?tno=463&fid=221&sty=2&act=1&mid=2128864175

One Blade posted a link to this website, http://www.freewebs.com/footballontap/documentaries.htm

Where you will get a copy for £4, via paypal, (including postage) sent to you within about 2-3 days.

I bought one on last thursday and got it on saturday.

i just emailed him, http://www.freewebs.com/footballontap/index.htm , asked about the documentary and he sent me an invoice for £4 for the dvd.

If you have not seen it then i say get your hands on a copy, from anywhere!

Its Brilliant!

Here is a video of it, well of Jock Bryson.

The best one in the series is the conclusion to that season as thousands of Blades pour onto leicester city's pitch at filbert street. You can hear the stadium announcer saying" please go back to your seats sheffield utd".

I was on the pitch that day and a copper came up to me and my mates and said 'if I tell you some fantastic news will you sod off the pitch?' We looked at him and laughed and I said, 'We'll leave if the news is as good as this result!' The copper grinned and said, 'deal - Forest beat Wednesday 3-0 and they've been relegated!' Nobody believed him until a Blade with a radio walked by chuckling away shouting 'Pigs are down!' 'Fair cop! We'll leave.' :D :D

This is great. I'll have to get hold of a copy!

Alternatively you could wait for me to ever rip it from video (with the rest of the large collection) and get hold of it for a small donation towards the site ;)

You get the good old blades content and contribute towards keeping the place running :)

This of course would only ever apply to productions where the copyright has lapsed and it would be completely legal to do so ;)

It was a fantastic season. I'll have to get a copy because I haven't seen that series in years.

The nearest I get is the Alan Damms print of Agana scoring the fifth which is on the wall just above and to the right of my computer desk :D

Got that print myself and a few of his others :)

I watched the last three parts of this yesterday... did anyone ever work out who the zone man was?!

Let me know when this is available mate and you've gotten yourself a deal!

Can anyone remember Paul Wood? if I remember right I saw him play for Exeter? V Liverpool in the FA cup and he was ripping them apart with his dribbling. I think that is how he came to our attention and he was class but i dont really know where he ended up after us? I dont think DB's style of play suited him much?

Yes, we bought him from Brighton and viewers of the 'United' series were treated to a glimpse of his member.

I also have this series on glorious VHS but mine is interspersed with various highlights and goals from the same campaign. It is gonna get ripped as soon as I get my arse in gear. It really is a fantastic trip down memory lane to what is possibly the best year of my life.
Loved going on the pitch at the end and even managed to ruffle DBs hair while he was being hoisted about.
Remember going in the White Lion on Chesterfield Road when we got back and there was a tense silent stand-off round the bar football table between Pigs and our fans. We were dying to rip the piss and you could see they were spoiling for some.
One blade stood up and broke the silence by singing the following at the top of his voice to the tune of Da Do Run Run.
"The Forest went to Hillsborough and they beat the pigs,
You're down Ron, Ron, Ron, Ron. You're down Ron Ron
..........................................................................
Oh, Division 2! Oh, that's the place for you. Oh Division 2,
you're down Ron, Ron etc."
Top drawer.

Thanks for the plug! If anyone wants to buy an artist signed copy of the print (or any other of my Blades prints - visit www.sportingstrokes.co.uk for the full list) you can contact me at [email protected]. I'll do a good deal for anyone from this forum!

I bet Linz would have had them ready for sale by now.....

Bit late for me mate, I've already got most of them :D

Though there may be a couple I'm yet to pick up.

I got it last year from the 'football on tap' link , picture is great and he has other Blades stuff on there.

I bought 4 DVD's including the Warnock documentary and they turned up in about 3/4 days.

The Coventry one is above my computer desk, but to the left :D I still like the "Hall Of Fame Dream Team" one though. That is one of my, personal favourites.
