What would you require to establish credible prospects? Press statements from the club every hour; on the hour? In truth, It's a glib, meaningless, throwaway phrase.

Offers for multiple players? Now you're talking. Yes there are! Serious but not reckless money on various tables and in greedy agents pockets. If certain clubs and or players say yes in the next 48 hours we will be busy, possibly very busy. We can't, however kidnap players or bribe other clubs. Both are illegal. What if Tufty, for reasons beyond our control, can't get anybody on his list? Sign Any Fucker?

No signings = no ambition, wheres munneh gone, fuck mccabe and the prince, time they sold up
One signing = see above, except add in "cheap option as always"
Loan singing / free transfers = well they didnt cost anything did they? then see above
Big signing = waste of money, no value, why are we wasting money on player X when we could have signed players X Y Z for the same fee
Couple of signings = well, we paid for them with our outgoings, wheres munneh from Mccabe and prince gone? time they sold up.

No need to worry. A good joke should always be used several times, and many of us on here can't remember what we had for breakfast today, never mind last year's joke.
