I was in the Juniors there a bit earlier '60 - '65 and definitely Redmires!Kinell, I was there, same school same time!
Mr Hides head teacher and Mr Hughes deputy?
Ladybower, Redmires, Strines or Derwent mate?
Appologies for not replying sooner GCB, didn't notice your reply till just now.Kinell, I was there, same school same time!

Giz a clue then mate!Appologies for not replying sooner GCB, didn't notice your reply till just now.
Was definitely Mr Hughes as deputy, thought it was Mr Hinds as head, but probably was Hides.
We probably know each other mate, I was in ladybower, (only time I've ever had anything to do with the blue team) Mr Hichmon? was my form teacher.
Remember going to Mayfield outdoor centre for a week in 73.
Went on to King Ted's after.
I started infants in 67 I think? Miss Green was the headteacher and there was a 'massive' climbing frame in the hall.I was in the Juniors there a bit earlier '60 - '65 and definitely Redmires!
Headmistress was Miss Ellis.
Had time off to have appendix out whilst in Mr Holdens class (2nd year?) and he sent me a letter offering me his because "he never used it"
Were you in the Senior School? Known as "Bert's College of Knowledge" to us young whippersnappers![]()

Francis Allens name sounds familiar, I have an older sister that read a lot, Hitchman stopped me going to Wembley to see england/Scotland schoolboys because I swore in class.Giz a clue then mate!
I was in Hitchman's class as well....he hated me, probably because I used to keep titting about!!
It's possible that we were one year apart, but I'd be surprised if we don't know each other. I was in Derwent but went onto King Ted's too!
Remember Francis Allen? (That's not me by the way!!)
A wee bit too young for the skins
But 100% suedehead 71-72
The revivalists as always play at it.
And so do I mukka.
The pork of climbing frames, gives the illusion of "massive" but actually easy to climb over.I started infants in 67 I think? Miss Green was the headteacher and there was a 'massive' climbing frame in the hall.
I went back in years later with my job and saw the climbing frame which I could have just about stepped over!!
Funny how things look totally different in perspective.
I heard Hitchman allegedly got into a bit of bother at another school?Francis Allens name sounds familiar, I have an older sister that read a lot, Hitchman stopped me going to Wembley to see england/Scotland schoolboys because I swore in class.

For now though, I need to go and get some work done but I'll look out for any replies later
You must be friends with Chris Woolhouse?!
I was in that section and turned round to celebrate with my brother at that precise moment, however he was otherwise engaged rolling around with Fred Flinstone and Barney Rubble on the pitch.Just look at all those Unitedites where the opposition fans were supposed to be.
This started from an old photo, so was posted on the correct thread (& has been taken off here to PM, due to being off topic) & most people started primary school at age 5....not 11.Erm, have you noticed this thread perhaps? which school did you go to from age 11 to 16?
A nice thread where people talk about where they went to school. This thread is about posting old photos.
Just saying like.
Love the music still love hearing a bit of northern but i couldnt turn up in dockers, braces and shermansBeen to a Ska night at the Riverside with some old boys playing vinyl. Dressed like 60's skinheads dressed as well.

Is there any excuse for a man to wear yellow trousers? They're for clowns and French exchange students. Is the discussion about original skinheads and mods or the late seventies early eighties revivalists?
