We all know what he can do. Can play AM or in the middle or even our wide. Left footed. Competition for a few positions.

If not why not? Never appreciated by our fans but it's safe to say he's done well for himself since.

Always rated him as a player who was adequate at football.

Would he skip past players like Duffy? No.

Is he as direct and exciting as Brooks? No.

Would he even be as effective as Carruthers is, as inconsistent as he's been? I'd say no.

He can pass a ball well, but nah.

Probably two or three seasons too late for him to return. Don't think he is better than what we already have now.

If I'm right, he played seven games last season and hasn't had a kick in the league this time round.

A competent rather than special midfielder who's now, at 31, past his best.

Nobringinimbackformethanks.

I like Quinny a lot me, always have and always did.

Wasn't good enough for play offf finalists Reading last season, which is understandable but we could do a lot worse. Isn't he still an international?

If Fleck gets injured or suspended what do we do? Lundstram and Coutts aren't enough to replace what Fleck gives us whereas I think Quinny could be.

Why stop there? What's brother Alan up to these days?

I think it would be sensible to offer Del Geary a short term contract, his legs might have gone a bit,but I think he would be good cover for Jack,Bash or Jake Senior

I wouldn't be opposed to this one if we've done due diligence on his fitness levels.

31 is still a reasonable age, he was dependable and as long as he's still got the legs to get around the pitch his style of play shouldn't be too adversely affected. We could do with some squad players who know the rigours of the championship and are also grafters. I'm hoping Lundstram comes good sooner rather than later but it'd be nice to have an experienced, somewhat versatile veteran like Quinn to call upon if anything were to happen to our midfield.

I wouldn't be against him coming in as back up for Fleck. He knows the club, has a good attitude, I would imagine he'd be relatively cheap. Always liked Quinny, he's hard working, got a good left foot and has a bit of bite.

Apparently we aren't allowed to suggest ex players (even good ones that are available for transfer and in a position we could do with some depth)

Daft really, given that Wilder put a bid in for Coady earlier in the Summer. He clearly doesn't mind.

Not for me. Not a position we need to fill and wages will be high. I think he could still do a job for us, but hardly likely to be a stand-out player if signed.

Sorry but this is an awful suggestion. We all fondly remember Quinny, he was a good servant to the club but we have no reason to look back at the moment.

We have a number of midfield players that are currently better than him and frankly, if a team at our level is looking to move him on then is he really of the required quality to help us progress?

We do need a midfield player, but one completely different in style to Quinn and to be honest one a lot younger with resale value as well.

A number of players better than him? You mean 2. And if one of those gets injured?

Can't see him deputising for Fleck at all.

He doesn't have the same presence as Fleck on the pitch, isn't as fearless, doesn't make challenges in the same way as Fleck.

I see Quinn as more similar to Duffy in style and we already have Duffy, Brooks and Carruthers for that position and all a lot cheaper than Quinn so don't see how he would fit in.

Five years ago when he last played for us he was alright, an absolutely okay footballer.

I seriously can't emphasise just how adequate a footballer he is. He's got a fair footballing ability. Just a proper not bad player.

I've never been more flaccid at the thought of signing someone.
