On this subject.... thought I might as well post this pathetic child's name and photo. No doubt he's closed his account now like all the other cowardly fuckwits do.

Not the first time we've seen this. What the fuck makes somebody post that?

Being a sheepshagging fucker from Derby.

Dismissing this too easily as an age thing, or that the term 'prick' explains this behaviour, is not the point. It's vindictive, hurtful, and shaming, and whether the poster is 18 or 68 doesn't give anyone the right to not offer an apology. If you feel that United having a few 'pricks' offers scant consolation for this type of poster's singular lack of imagination, or empathy, with anyone who has gone through something as dreadful as this, well we'll have to agree to disagree.

I'm not dismissing anything.

I don't see why any Derby fan would be required to sign up on here to apologise on behalf of some little twat.

We've got some little twats amongst our support who make me cringe sometimes. I don't sign up to other clubs' fora to say sorry for their behaviour.

Unfortunately there's sad attention seeking cunts everywhere you look on the net.

Absolutely disgusting, whats the world coming to

Clearly you don't regard commenting on a post that used the death of Sharp's child as worthy of apology, fair do's. I suspect you're in a minority, but hey, you continue to trivialise this if you like, after all, I guess we should all take our lead from the ignorant fuckers of this world and allow them to get away with saying whatever they liked.

I think that the main point is that an apology on somebody elses behalf is essentially worthless and an empty token gesture.

If that little shitbag had any bollocks then he would retract what he posted and apologise himself.

Encouragingly, many Derby fans on Twitter have indeed stated that this cunt is not representative of them and are in favour of any retributive action that comes his way, which I sincerely hope it does.

That's just the point Tyler, the idiot who posted this doesn't have the backbone necessary to say he's sorry. As regards your last sentence, I hope this goes beyond lip-service and that there really will be some type of appropriate response for his comments.

All the Derby fans below the tweet are giving the little wanker as much stick as we are. I'm not sure why any Derby fan should apologie on his behalf to be honest. I didn't go on the Boro board apologising for our fans doing whatever they did and I suspect neither did anyone else on here.

The guy is a prick who deserves whatever he gets back in revenge but no Derby fan should have to apologise on his behalf.

We have fans who are as bad, if not worse. I'm not sure why a football club's fans have any responsibility to apologise for these morons. They do have the responsibility to report anything which would be a criminal offence if they know the person responsible.

Given the continued attitude of some of our fans since Chedgate, I have no idea why some people think we have the moral high ground.

Exactly. Foul comment to make. But posting his address to effectively encourage people to take matters into their own hands? Also unacceptable. That's assuming the address is correct, and some poor innocent bloke isn't about to get a brick through their window.

A brick would be a tad extreme and I doubt anybody would drive to Derby just to do that.

There was an incident the other week after the Middlesbrough game where some Boro fan posted a picture of a youngish Blade, claiming he was waving a knife around and that he pointed it in his dad's face.

I don't know the lad in question, but plenty of others did and backed him up on Twitter saying he'd never dream of doing owt like that and he's actually a jolly nice boy. Some pig fans who knew him also jumped to his defence. It appeared the Boro fan was infact talking bollocks to get attention on Twitter.

Someone gave him an ultimatum; delete the tweet and apologise by 8pm or your address gets posted. He deleted the tweet, but still claimed his story was true and never apologised.

I've no idea how it panned out in the week following, but there were large expensive takeaway orders, a skip, a gay escort, a bucking bronco, a clown and many other items sent to the lads' address.

I'd imagine that's what'd happen again if that were the route someone went down. No bricks, though :D

Edit: a magician. There was definitely a magician in there somewhere.

Weekend at LYDON towers.

I know the guy, it was complete bollocks, he also said he called him a white c*** - Despite Jay having an entire white family. Comedy gold.

Don't suppose you know whether all of the orders made their way to the Boro fan's house? :D

I've no idea why you're trying to create a straw man at all, or insuating that I think the comment is throwaway.

My response was quite clearly aimed at your point about Derby fans coming on here to apologise for his tweet.

I don't see it as their responsibility to do so. He's not indicative of Derby fans. We may as well all apologise for him on here as fellow football fans.

He's not the first and won't be the last to make such sick comments on social media. He's done it in his own name under his own picture. I'm sure a few people will let him know in real life what they think.

Ah, by offering a point of view that challenges your own it suddenly becomes a straw man.......a poster from Derby, post #43, has already made their feelings known so no need for further validation. It's a perfect refute to the other insensitive nob, so no need to over-egg this point.

I'm glad he's made you happy. Fair play to him but it hasn't made a blind bit of difference to how I see the kid who posted it, or how I see most decent Rams in general.

Derby have slammed the tweets as 'repulsive' and have vowed to ban the 'fan'.

"This is utterly repulsive behaviour which we condemn unreservedly and apologise on behalf of the club to Billy and his family for any distress caused.
"We will contact Twitter to ask them to identity the culprit and seek police advice as to what punishment we can meter out to this individual."

Very good Danny. Do you know, pre twitter and facebook, they would have made you actually go to a game and write about something that you saw there? Crazy I know. One more thing, it's 'mete out', not 'meter out'

https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/mete out

Mete out - to give (something) to the people who one decides should get it

METER-OUT – To regulate the flow of the discharge fluid from an actuator or system ;)

Think that news is a day old anyway.
