Thanks Roy.

Got to say, just who do Derby think they are? Some kind of East Midlands Barcelona with a team of superstars, playing at Pride Nou. Let me put the Arrogant patronising twats right.

Derby are a nothing side who have done sweet FA for 40 years, they hold the record for the worst ever attempt at being a Premiership team. Even in the East Midlands they live in the shadow of Forest and Leicester, having blown out one of the best management teams the country has ever seen, handing them to thier neighbours down the A52.

Thier fans are delusional on a scale only seen in South Barnsley. Great players are not defined by thier price tag, equally spunking money doesn't build a great football team. Can I point out to The idiot who makes the patronising comments about "Coutts, Fleck, Duffy, and Carruthers, that they played you off the park today. The celebration after the 3rd defined the difference for me, a team who will run through brick walls for each other ( with JOC heading the rubble) or a bunch of overpaid journeymen like Hudddleston, Johnstone and Nugent who just turn up for the next cheque.

I really enjoyed seeing them heading back down the M1 to their plastic bowl with their tails between thier tails between their legs having seen a real team, in a proper ground with commited fans. CW is doing something really special at the Lane, whilst Rowett is just the latest sucker in the Derby hotseat who will get sacked after a bang average season that doesn't live up to thier overinflated expectations.

Jamal Blackman, Lord Jake Wright, Magic Jack O'Connell, The Bashambauer, Enda Stevens, Super Kieran Freeman, Coooooouts, Mark Duffy, John Fleck, Caolan Lavery, Billy (he's ours) Sharp. Super Ched, Samir Carruthers, Jon Lindstram. They might have cost bugger all, but that my friends is a team.

Here's hoping for lots more "View's From" of a similar tone from clubs who completely underestimate liddle ol' Sheffield United!

Some reyt ungratious cunts in that lot. In all truth they are serial underachievers who have tried and failed to crack this league numerous times in recent years. Back to the drawing board lads, you just got completely outclassed. Night.

I must admit that when the Derby team was announced, I thought 'Quality all over the park.' Chris Martin, Huddlestone, Bradley Johnson, Nugent, Carson, Weimann, Vydra, Lawrence (bought from Leicester for £7m last week) etc. And in truth, they have and will be 'there or thereabouts' come May. I think we are beginning to see a pattern. Last week, plenty - including on here - were saying 'Barnsley are crap'. I didn't go along with this - our team, especially the fabulously-talented Fleck, Duffy and Coutts made Barnsley look crap. If they were crap, how come they managed to roll Sunderland over yesterday? Now we have the Derby fans putting yesterday's result down to their team being 'crap'. Anybody who was there and knows their football saw how a bunch of talented individuals can become an highly-efficient team under people like Wilder & Knill. Next up, Sunderland and Bolton. I suppose they'll be crap?

The quote by Stretch could have been about Wendy. When the Blades are crap, we tell it like it is, but too many fans - many of who wouldn't stick around for 6 years in Division 3 - have a massive sense of entitlement.

That's true! For younger viewers, in 2007-08, Derby got 11 points in the PL, the lowest-ever total in the PL and, yes, it was three points for a win. In their defence, they had the lamentable 'Jimmy' Jewell as manager - another product of The Sheffield Wednesday School of Managerial Excellence.

I looked down the Derby team and subs today and thought "shit, they've spent a fortune". Expected them to be much better.

That being said, we were immense.
Harrying, hassling, closing them down.

They brought a large number of fans but we're virtually silent from the first goal.

Our midfield ran the show, was as impressed with Duffy as I was with Coutts.

Felt sorry for Carruthers as thought he likes really sharp when he came on too.

Another great day at the lane.
Same here Pete, as their line-up was being announced I was thinking, premier league player, premier league player, ex England player.... Shit! Genuinely one of the best Blades performances I've seen in a long time.

This for me is the biggest determining factor at play in a successful (or unsuccessful team): genuine hunger to achieve and a burning desire to win and prove a point, whatever that point may be.

Never more proven that the 'Crazy Gang' of Wimbledon. When a manager like Bassett, Wilder or Klopp gets together with a set of fans who will die for the cause, things can happen against all odds.

I've think that Huddleston is actually paid in pies rather than pay cheques.

The thing what makes me laugh playing matches in the Champiomship is how underestimated we are.

We outclassed Barnsley all over the park last week and all their fans can say is how it was one of their worse performances in years and how they will be relegated, just proves they can't be that bad beating Sunderland 3-0 today.

Today our midfield totally controlled the game and we made Derby look a very ordinary almost poor outfit.
However all their fans can say was how they played so badly and didn't work hard enough.

Don't think many fans in the Champiomship are aware how good we are but they'll find out over the next few months.

Agree. Barnsley and Derby fans saying the same " we were shocking....can't play as bad again..." etc

A team only plays as well as the opposition lets 'em

Amen ( it is the Sabbath)

Cheers Panchero!

Lovely way to spend Sunday morning, sat with a coffee, reading stuff like this, we were the better team, end of

“Paul Coutts ran the show, rejected him about 4 seasons ago. Going backwards.”

“Schooled by Coutts and Freeman, nice one Derby”

“Coutts named MOM ran the midfield against ours that cost us around 8 million… that’s gonna take me some time to get over”

“When you lose to a team that has Coutts, Freeman, Carruthers and Duffy, it’s probably going to be a bad season”

“Beaten by a side with Paul Coutts and Kieron Freeman in pretty well speaks volumes…very honest grafters but never world beaters at Championship level. Just not good enough Derby County.”

patronising is the best word for how most teams will be towards us
they think we bullied our way out of league one

nobody thinks or will give credit to the passing we do , or the movement and closing down

give ch 5 their due they are giving us a modicum of credit

I would be majorly pissed off if I was a Derby fan. They have spent heaps of money and have one of the best squads in the league, but they just weren't up for it today at all. They sat us off and didn't pressurise us nearly as much as Boro, Cardiff, Brentford and even Barnsley. They seemed happy to sit back and try to hit us on the counter, but all that happened was that they were pinned back all game and had no out ball. They had their first shot after 25 minutes.

Think I need my bumps reading - accordin to this Derby based roy wannabe, "Sheffield United are really poor. They have an ace marksman in Sharp for sure but nothing else apart from team spirit, endeavour and great fans."

This been linked? - https://ramspaceuk.wordpress.com/2017/08/27/post-match-thoughts-sheffield-united/

It's amazing how many people who follow football know so little about the actual game. "Billy Sharp scored so he was the best player. I'll just mention him cos he scored". How can you have watched that game without seeing how good Fleck, Coutts and Duffy were? No, he's stuck with the "Billy Sharp scored so he was the best" childlike report.

There is another quote I've read this morning that said "we were unlucky, the ball just kept bouncing away from us"

Mind boggling how people can watch so many hours of sport a week and know absolutely nothing about it. We have fans that are the same . See the insane Duffy should be sold thread on the Rumour Mill board for an example

Had a couple of conversations via social media with Derby mates last night.
One pointed out we won't be gifted three goals every week by teams in this division. I agreed, and added that I don't expect we'll play teams that can't get the ball off us every week either.
Another wanted to know what that "sad shitty huddle with the manager and team
" at the end was all about,as if we'd won the cup final. I told him it's called management, it's not all about getting the cheque book out.
....... I'm still waiting for replies.

Fucking small town Derby labelling us a "little team"? Check the average home attendances, me ducks...

Yes, I noticed their fans didn't mock when the attendance was announced.

And to think Derby thought one payoff for McClaren wasn't enough... lets re-hire him and fire him again so we can give him some more.

I thought we made Barnsley look poor, but they looked like the 1970 Brazil side compared to how we made Derby look. Off day my arse, your just fucking shite :)

I'm not convinced a lot of people who go to the games actually watch the game.
The amount of people looking at their phones on the kop during the match.

The Duffy comment was from a pig, I think.

I still think Derby supporters are generally OK and the views from a few gobshites doesn't represent the majority any more than those kids fighting at boro represent the Blades.

Yeah it's true. There's always a few loudmouth idiots amongst any group of fans (ours are no exception).

That's the only thing that worries me about the 'viewsfrom'. They are fascinating and I can't thank Roy enough for doing it, but our fans do overreact sometimes. They see one mouthing off about how small/lucky/crap we are and decide that all fans of said club are equally as obnoxious, which of course isn't the case (pigs excluded :p).
