Assistant ref is Conor Brown , so we should be ok for a couple of pens .May have a bet now 21/20 to win this .

Be nice if we could get Hallam, Smith, Graham, Slater or Gilmour some loan time maybe in League 2? Those are 5 that seem to be standing out last season and in games I have seen.

Diego Poyet still fucking about with his tour of the English U23s leagues of I see.

Maybe one day he'll fancy playing first team football for somebody.

I'd have taken him a couple of years ago, showed lots of promise.

He's probably earning 10k plus a week though to stroll around the park for 90 mins.

Noticed the pigs earlier won 3-1.... they have 4/5 first teamers playing for their U23s. Puts into perspective how well our boys did last season.

I dont think Slater or Graham will go out on loan this season as they are still 2nd year scholars, although in my opinion are good enough.

Smith, Gilmoor and Semple when fit would be the next ones to go on loan for some experience. Fingers crossed in L2 but even the National League would be a great experience for these lads.
I do get the feeling CW likes to see them develop with our own u23s though. Nothing wrong with that either.

It is exciting that our u23s team with no player over 19 years old have been as good as more experienced teams for the last 2 years.

The moral of this story is if you want your kid to be a footballer, don't call him Diego.

Exactly, the dev league might not be as competitive as the National League/League 2, but the players playing for a lot of these clubs are of a higher standard.

We do seem to have a decent crop coming through. Then again I remember seeing Otis Khan's name regularly on the scoresheet and he's not even featuring in league 2.

To be honest Khan is making a living playing for Yeovil in L2. Scoring a few goals by all accounts. Scored on Saturday. I agree its not the Premier League but the lad is making a living playing football. Something many of us can only dream about.

I think the National League would be the loan option to toughen our younger lads up. Playing against men that have mortgages and kids to feed and livings to make.

All good though

Jake Wright jnr has been mentioned. Do you think Hallam or RND might go out?

Sorry, I thought he'd gone to Chesterfield or somewhere like that. Wasn't it him that was kicked out after appearing on Total Wipeout?

Jake Wright Jnr was at the game today. He is serving a suspension hanging over from last season.

Cheers for clearing that up? Did he behave, or was he offering the oppo bench out?

Jake wright Jnr needs to go out on loan i think. He is the oldest u23s player we have at 20 years old and needs to be playing. Hallam scores goals for fun but i think he would be a player that progresses quicker by playing for our u23s.

Once again though i do think he is good enough to follow what ever pathway the club chooses.

RND i think will stay with the club this season. Young and only just joined us. I would think they will want to keep him with us and let him get used to playing for Sheffield United.

Just my opinion Eddie......

I notice another cracking win today and Hallam bags a brace....... We have some good young players i tell you.

Dusted off my bus pass and had a nice day at Stocksbridge although where the SL1 will drop you off is a mystery. The pitch was in good shape but I needed to get a team sheet to find out how was playing.
Good display. we played with 3 at the back and 2 wingbacks and apart from a few dodgy crosses we looked solid.
as usual Ti Smith looks like this could be his season and Jordan Hallam just keeps scoring. He got 1 yesterday and he could have scored the 3rd but instead did the right thing by squaring the ball to Smith who tapped it in. The first goal was a fine strike by Smith after some crazy goal keeping but take a look at the 3rd. All the way from our goal kick. Special rehearsed move gives credit to the coaching.
This will be a big season for some of these lads. I expect to see some develop as Brooks did last year. Keep an eye out for Smith, Hallam and Gilmour.
Add Slater,Wright and Semple to this squad and I expect to see some great displays this year. Oh and yet again all British

Gilmour been very very good so far this year but Ty Smith has what the first team is desperate for PACE!!! Yeah he's a bit raw and still learning but 2nd half of the season he could play a part playing wide and his pace would mean teams would drop off and allow more space for Coutts and Fleck to dictate the play
