Well if Davalon is correct and they can't fight we'll give em ruddy good thrashing . If they can fight though we'll apologise and leave it that.
See my post above.

You're placing a lot of emphasis on Davalon's information being correct. I'm not saying it isn't, but surely you can see that naming people without any knowledge or understanding of the situation isn't the solution to this. Why has an Internet forum or mainly strangers become the platform for this?

So we do nothing ? I want my club back and aologists and do nowters will not stop me getting it back .

What I find even more disturbing is those that get involved even with their young child clinging on to them.

The guy and his son who are getting spat at... why is he anywhere near it? Why is he dishing it back instead of getting away with his young lad like any 'normal' parent would?

No, there's the police who are employed to deal with such matters and are. I'd guarantee there will be an article in The Star 'naming and shaming' actual culprits within the year. Why be so over reactional?

Who's on about banning anyone.

My comment was in response to someone who thought a 50 year old asking someone to go round his house was ridiculous for someone of that age.

There's people on our messageboards nearer 60 who've made similar threats in recent times.

CHL is stirring as usual.

That was posted on here from a tweet that was a blatant piss take. If you arrested them according to twitter you'd be arresting 20 completely innocent Newcastle fans.
Oh well, no massive loss if were honest.

I'm stirring ????? Well , maybe a little bit . I am actually intrigued by something you've said though . It appears you know one of the threatening posters personally as you claim he ' couldnt fight his way out of a paper bag ' . That's who id like naming and shaming ;)

Anyone carrying out or more to the point instigating any such violence is an embarrassment to our club.

You're not welcome at our club. You're a disgrace.

That said, I suspect I'm very much wasting my time posting on here as those who would do such a thing probably don't have the IQ to turn on a computer let alone read a forum.

Inside and outside the ground yesterday, I'd call it nothing more than handbags. Many on here are getting their knickers in a twist over not a lot really. Perhaps a strongly worded letter to the Times would help release some of this pent up stuffiness.

All this over a game of football. The mind boggles.

There's no acceptable reason for violence, whatsoever. It doesn't matter if it was "just handbags" or a full blown riot, its irrelevant. Your going to watch sport - that's it.

Would you see it kick off at a swimming gala or someone kicking someone's head in at Wimbledon?

No. Grow up and enjoy the match.

What is the problem here?

Those who WENT to away games last season saw problems at every game particularly at half time.

We were winning most of those games, so no real need for violence as limited opposition from generally poorly supported clubs - Port Vale excluded.

Chuck in a disallowed goal from an inept assistant referee couple with Boro chavs taunting Blades before the game, was just a recipe for this type of disaster scenario from a probably group of young chavs that have had no decent confrontations in the previous 6 years. I remember very well the "competition" Southampton brought (organised apparently) in the league cup a couple of years back.

The pattern was set mainly last season. It is supposed to be a criminal offence not to go on the pitch which many many clubs didn't enforce last season.

If the authorities want to clamp down they probably could - but they just seems to turn a general blind eye to most of the trouble.

It won't end with this Boro either.

At the back end of last season I claimed I was a fan representative of Sheffield United who was in talks with the local constabulary over alcohol consumption at the lane . As part of these discussions I went on to claim that police were planning to breathalise fans entering the stadium and would arrest all those over the drink drive limit and prosecution and a 3 year banning order awaited all those failing the test .

What really surprised me wasn't the number of posters who thought I was being serious . It was the significant number of posters who felt it was the correct thing for the police to do that left me incredulous .

What the fuck :eek::eek::eek::confused::confused::confused:

Unfortunately this'handbags' stuff as you call it gets built into something bigger. I'm off to Cardiff on Tuesday. I want to be able to have a pint before the game, enjoy the game and then enjoy a pint afterwards. So please....no handbags at Cardiff.

You got me hook, line & sinker on that. I was raging at your proposal!

It's a night match a long way from home so there's unlikely to be many of the idiotic children there, although it is the school holidays so there might be some.

I don't hold much chance that you will enjoy a peaceful pint in Cardiff of all places, just being English will be enough for their knuckledraggers to start.

Why?

I don't need to name anyone just to stir it and I'm just Foxy and Linz don't want middle aged men exchanging pathetic threats on here.

Whether people choose to take any notice of my post is neither here nor there. It was in response to a comment from someone along similar lines.

If I had named someone then I would expect to get called out.
