Apparently spent over £36 million so far this season so be interesting to see how we compete on our first away match - silly money isnt it ?

Not sure what the Stoke side cost, or is worth, who played tonight, but we did fine.

Easily £36 million plus, Bojan, Imbula and Shaqiri alone probably add up to a cost of about £50 million.

Based on football maths, we're twice as good because we scored twice as many goals as them, so our squad is worth roughly £250 million I reckon.

Nowt to worry about ;)

they will do well but I'm still not concerned,I'll predict a win and a draw over Boro next season. Based on nothon at all just confident we will do really well. Spending money does not gaurenutee success.. Wilder seems to have a number more check boxes on his criteria than most teams it would seem.

If you look he reasonably priced players are still out there just need to take a little while longer to look

The paper value of Portsmouth's squad assembled by Redknapp and Mandaric was about £250m iirc as they started their free-fall down the league pyramid.

There are plenty of other recent examples of teams that have come down with an expensively-assembled squad, bolloxed it up and got themselves in a real tangle.

And we're better than Barcelona because Malaga beat Barcelona last season and we beat Malaga
