As it stands, we would not be able to get over £2.5 million for him. I doubt we'd get that. The important part, in terms of fee, is to ensure that we have add ons which will bring money into the club in the future.

What happens with Brooks will likely depend on how much he figures in the first team for the first few months. If he's getting regular football, then it's more likely he'd be prepared to stay.

If a PL club was in for Leonard, do you believe he would still be a Southend player ?

The money in the PL before this season was mind bending. This year it is off the charts. Lesser PL clubs can now invest several millions of pounds on development players.

There is NO Championship player that I am aware of that is beyond the reach of ANY PL club.

If he's on 3 years we ask we get or he stays.
