Danny Graham from Blackburn? He's not exactly pacy, but is experienced and I'm sure he's not loyal enough to Blackburn to stay with them in Lg 1

Just stop writing rubbish mate. We're in the championship now a half decent season people demand £5+million. Look at the money Barnsley have been getting.
Blackman last season. 29 games 1 goals for a decent derby side.
He went to Derby for £2.5million according to Soccerbase. So I guess they would want to recoup that money.
He turned down big spending pigs, so his wages would be high.
But if we managed to pay a fortune in wages and in Fees. He's no better than Lavery. Last time lavery was there he scored 6 in 34. Would be a big waste of money.
Anyone else?
HES STILL ONLY SCORED 11 LEAGUE GOALS SINCE LEAVING US 4 YEARS AGO
HES SHITE 2.75 goals a year
ALL 3 have played in the championship, so would be options as much as any player you care to mention, and CW chose them once , would argue hed look at them again which is the only choice Id care to believe in Hes offered them contracts now , has he not
the fact being names were being offered to replace what we have , one of which being on your list
well ched didnt ask for the 6 year break, it was foisted on him in error
think of 5 or 600 players thats had similar to 3 year breaks from the championship
saints players forest players leeds players millwall players charlton players and even some of those we are still after havent played in the championship, but are good enough
ask yourself how did preston manage and huddersfield, brentford even piggies . dont remember any of those spending 20 million in their first season up
lets emulate wednesdays first season back in buys to stay up

reading that our buys now look bloody fantastic
in hard figures
ched has scored 23 in 98 championship games in his career 1 in 4 near enough
and one prem goal in 3
blackman has scored 18 in 97 1 in 5
speaks for itself
Still less than 6 per season but if you consider him a winger rather than a striker then that’s not a bad return at this level.
He is not that quick though.....and he is lightweight
Well Swansea just picked one up, seeing off Newcastle and Brighton so there's two.
Except that this thread is supposed to be recommending proven Championship strikers, not wingers.
Actually it makes the OP's point very well. We have gone round in circles for 8 pages and still not managed to come up with any realistic affordable targets.
He is in the Championship certainly. Zero chance of him coming to us on loan mind. That isn't what I said though is it?
He's more proven than Dominic Solanke who's never played in England. That's for certain.
One season in the second tier isn't proven in England. There is long line of one season wonders that support that theory. Not proven in England? He's just smashed it in the championship.
Yes it is.One season in the second tier isn't proven in England. There is long line of one season wonders that support that theory.
Yes we have. Just because the OP doesnt consider them realistic or affordable doesn't mean they aren't.Except that this thread is supposed to be recommending proven Championship strikers, not wingers.

A few posters on a forum consider them not realistic. Brilliant evidence. Not just the OP though, is it?

What are the has beens?Actually there are more of us on this thread who can't find these 'wonder buys' than those that can. Not 'evidence' in the sense that a court might recognise but then again there is no 'proof' in football about what makes a good player.
As far as I can see, you've dredged up a few has-beens and unobtainables and now want a medal.
Even Mutley had to do more than that.

Precisely. And if the likes of Chris Wood and Forestieri didn't cost upwards of 10mil more Prem sides would take a chance on them.Generally I'd agree but when we're talking about a kid who's had 1 season of senior football and smashed it at championship level, I'd say the next natural step is to be tested in the Prem.
What are the has beens?
And how do you decide what is unobtainable?
Are you part of our negotiating team?
Fair enough, we know where your bar is set for a proven forward in England.Yes it is.
Daryl Murphy is going to Forest for 2mil. He peaked late. He isn't a has been at all.Daryl Murphy isn't exactly one for the future is he (and it is "Who" btw).
Solanke - I rest my case.
What 'negotiating team' is this then?
Brexit?
The provision of Palestinian homelands?
Sheffield's 2156 Olympic bid?
He is proven in English football. That's all I said. I didn't specify what level, it's you who came along and did that.Fair enough, we know where your bar is set for a proven forward in England.
I think it's considerably lower than most neutral observers.

Agreed, but as you've written yourself, he's still needs testing to prove himself.Generally I'd agree but when we're talking about a kid who's had 1 season of senior football and smashed it at championship level, I'd say the next natural step is to be tested in the Prem.
