Ooooooow I forgot he was supposed to be playing for them this season.

I don't think I've ever been on on edge about losing a player since I took a banner to the town hall celebrations begging Michael Brown to stay (I was a kid).

Hope there's a decent highlight of that Goal. Absolute beauty - If memory serves, he took the ball on the half way line, on the turn, flicking it around a player, then ran AT 3 chezzy defenders. Arrived towards the edge of the box, took a step to the side, taking another player out of the equation and shot from the edge of the box. Great goal.

What wage would you pay him?
Should he be made the highest paid player at the club, even though he's rarely played league football.

The last time I heard our fans raving about us having a great player was the Italian lad that Juventus were looking at.
We offered him a big pay rise but he refused because he wanted even more money as he was a rising star with a massive future.
Did Diego even score for the first team?

Many poured scorn at one of my earlier posts about young Brookes being the next Tony Currie for us. How many more people think that I was not far off the mark now that they can see what he does and how he does it? ;)

Having heard Brooks and De Girolamo ( I assume that's who you mean) talk, you can seen a massive difference in temperament. The former comes across as humble while the latter seemed, at the time, to be playing the part of the big timer without having the talent. IMO of course ;)

Evening Kev. Have you sold him yet?

I think Hodgy it's all about perspective. TC made his debut and scored as an 18 year old in the top flight against the what was the current FA Cup winners.

It will be interesting to see how well Brooks performs against Stoke City. Exciting times.

He has the same approach and desire to hurt the opposition as Messi. Similar build as well.Rides a tackle naturally, well ballanced.
Time will tell but I've listened to enough from people whose opinions I greatly respect to believe Brooks could be the next Kyle Walker, only with a zero on his value due to what he does.
We must absolutely keep him and let him shine this season in the first team. The championship is the perfect league for him to totally succeed.

Seems the lad has all of a sudden blossomed into a cracking player hence the removal of the loan to Chezzie, question is:

Do we see him as a key weapon to progress from this league or are we wanting to flog him to the highest bidder. Giving him a nice new contract alongside some encouraging words would help answer this.

Chessie fan commenting on Brooks tonight:

"He's way too good for them":D

Another:

"Brooks was their best player by a country mile when he came on in my opinion, absolutely class and gutted he wasn't wearing blue."

Early days I know but he does look class. Need to keep him a season or two at least and hope he helps take us back to the Premier League where we belong. One or two exceptional players can make all the difference.

The Board need to show some ambition and faith in his ability and trust that his value will go up. If we get where we want to be we can keep him. If we don't we should get a lot more than a few million for him.

Wilder knows a proper footballer when he sees one. He won't hesitate to let Brooks loose if he thinks he can cut it.
