All I can say is that IMHO James Beattie is the best and classiest centre forward we've had at the Lane in my lifetime, and I was born in 1955. Nobody, Brian Deane included, can match him.

£ for £ Deano is in front of him in my opinion, perhaps BT's can't be arsed like this time last season.

Not convinced you're wrong! Let's face it, had he equalised at the shitheap (and he wasn't exactly far off), he'd be utterly exalted just now.

He's class, and it will go right eventually.

he isnt a striker with blistering pace but yet the players seem to think he can do it. we are playing the wrong game for him.

noticed too that when we were defending BT was back in defence helping while webber was strolling back.

The right winger is suppose to get back and help defend like squinny does, not the forward!

He scores goals when it matters. One recent game that comes to mind is Bristol at home, he did nothing first half until the end when he scored then 2nd half he was all over them.

Beattie is one of them that works hard, gets himself in the right play at the right time and can score goals.

I cant believe people are knocking a player who scored 25 goals last season for us in what was a pretty shite season.

We have had alot of games lately the poor bloke aint a spring chicken he must be shattered. Especially with having no pre season.

I dont think he will play Tuesday night mainly because he needs a rest.

Thats what Blackwell said after the game on Saturday that BT is not fully fit and also had to have stitches on shin injury after the game.
