If CW has listed Brayford (and Brayford has not requested to leave) I wonder if Brayford has the stomach for the fightback into Wilders plans. Just like Freeman did.

I would be surprised if we get any sort of fee for Brayford at all.

If we sell him i would guess it would be a free transfer and we could even possibly end up paying a portion of his wages to the buying club.

Think he has "limited" training sessions like Ledley King had in his last few seasons at Spurs and maybe Wilder isn't keen on that?

I suspect that Brayford's wages are still an issue for CW compared to the longer term value of the player.
CW is allus reinforcing his point about working to a budget so he probably feels that the money Brayford is on will be better spent elsewhere.

Re Brooks - could be an Everton player before too long if the latest set of rumours are true after his performance at the Toulon tourno.
Has CW got a cunning plan to use Brooks as the carrot for the Toffess to release Jags - so that Everton essentially cover the short fall in wages for PJ?

He could be in our first team squad and still be an Everton player - having come back on loan. Which is what I suggest might happen.

Bit disappointed that Brayford looks like he's going. Has divided opinion for sure but at his best would be in the starting line up no doubt. Also hope the Brooks line is correct - would be very disappointed if he was sold (probably on the cheap like most of our young assets)

Hopefully Cloughy has enough left in his transfer kitty to make a reasonable bid

He's not in CW's plans so best all round if we could move him on

My thoughts entirely SBT. I can't believe for one moment the deal was cancelled for any other reason than we want to try and sell him. But if it's different to that I'll be delighted. We aren't in the 3rd division now, we are one step away from the top flight and if we can we should hold onto exceptional young talent because that is going to save us an absolute fortune when we reach the Prem next season.

Yeah! Why don't we do to Everton, what we did to Chesterfield. Say, "give us him, and we'll agree to give you him" - then back out of it!

Did Wilder say which 1st team squad?

It was clear from the moment he was 'recalled' from his proposed loan there was a bid in. Wilder is usually a straight talker unless he meant so we can take a look at Brooks and decide how much to sell him for.......
