Less than 0.1% of matching fans have a problem with Wilder being United manager as can be seen at all games, including Saturday, when he had unanimous, rousing vocal support from the terraces. Twenty or so misanthropic posters on here that are only seen when we're losing or slagging the team off on the live chat don't make a ripple in match going Blades circles. Club is not in a position for change, we were last year and look what a massive mess the owners made of that.
Now is not the time for change we should be thankful we have Wilder as nobody else would want this right now. Its his club as well so its in the best (under the circumstances ) hands. Short term yes 100% Wilder. Medium long term no way.

Personally I have a love/hate relationship with Wilder.

Wilder mk1 could do no wrong given us the greatest times as a Blade this century.

I did think it was right to sack him after losing to Sunderland and the major f**k up was not appointing the correct successor.

Given the clubs current situation with signings, and being owned by corrupt fraudsters, its Wilder all the way, we need a Bladey Blade to get us out of this and keep us in the Championship this season. anyone who is looking beyond Wilder to stabilise the club is just wrong.

How can they keep up this facade if someone that doesn’t drink in the Banner manages us?! He might wear hair wax too, or have a midlands accent, are you mental?

Look, the reality is, despite there being 8.31 billion other people on the planet, 71 of which are current managers of the other EFL clubs, there is NOBODY else that can manage us. Not one single person. Sheffield United is such a complex entity, so esoteric in nature that any other person not bestowed with the name Chris Wilder attempting such a a quixotic labyrinthine, would melt like that nazi at the end of Raiders of the Lost Ark.

So any kind of foolish talk of replacing him is essentially condemning the club to the history bin. It’s Wilder until he’s 90 and then maybe a clone or bot of him like ChrisGPT or something.

I were firmly in the get rid camp, but with this news regards the owners and all the uncertainty I’d be happy to keep him, the football will be dreadful, but we won’t go down with him. Safe pair of hands until we either get new owners, or they actually realise what they’re meant to be doing.
