Good if it comes off BUT
Sharp
Hanson
Lavery
Clark
Evans
Moult.

I know you need more bods in the championship than lg 1 but?!
We had six strikers last season, maybe Wilder wants the same this season, Mcnulty was released and Done is transfer listed, the logic maybe that he's signed Ched and is looking to sign another forward to replace those two, he likes to have plenty of options upfront to suit any tactical approach we could possibly use in a game it seems.

I think 6 strikers is a decent enough number to work with.

How many did we have in the last PL promoion season? Warnock must have used 12-15 Strikers?

Regarding the number of strikers we have, I can't see it having too much of an effect of whether we bring him or any other striker in, we had six last season, and I think we are likely to get rid of Hanson and maybe one other forward in January because I very much doubt Hanson especially will do much at this level.

6 foot tall, just like Jordan Hugill, and born within 2 weeks of him!

Wilder's getting more and more specific with his transfer target requirements isn't he!
I compared them both too, what's better a 12 goal tally in the Championship or a 15 in the SPL?

Not seen enough of him TBH. But here's a YouTube video. To me it looks like he's got a bit of everything.

I agree, looks like he has abit if everything, hardworking and gets into good positions.
Within our budget- yes
Good age- yes
Good attitude- yes
Hardworking- yes
Certainly seems like the type of player that Wilder would go for so I wouldn't be surprised if this one does happen.

Kin el we are rumoured to be bring 90% of the whole Scottish and English players to BDTBL.

Come on people, sharpen those pencils, hit the phones and get me some fact based inforfeckinmation.

15 in 31 for Moult in a struggling SPL side vs 12 in 44 for Hugill in an average Championship side. 2 penalties for Moult, none for Hugill.

I'd say Hugill's record is more impressive, but they're quite similar.

Purely in terms of goalscoring, I think Moult's record is just about good enough for a Championship club to consider him. But if goalscoring was all he had to his game I doubt anyone would go for him on the strength of his record in the SPL.

I'd be considerably more confident in Hugill, but he'd cost about four times as much ultimately.

Not entirely sure if it is reliable but I've checked the account and it doesn't seem to be one that posts a load of dross, would seem a very realistic signing, and the reported interest from English clubs suggests that there is possibly something in it.

Yep, "the Steelmen", as we are famously known.

Agree with this, we're more than likely going to move some strikers on. We may have enough strikers in terms of numbers but we are definitely lacking in quality.

Clarke has failed in the Championship previously so can't see that changing now he's 32. Hanson only managed 1 goal in 13 playing for a team that pissed the league. The jury is still out on Lavery as he's not really grabbed his opportunities to nail down a regular start. So for me I wouldn't be surprised to see 2 or even all 3 of those leave. I'd personally keep Lavery due to age and potential but Clarke and Hanson I'd sell them this summer.

As much as the guy sounds like he has potential, I really can't see us buying another CF.

Evans, Sharp, Clarke, Lavery, Hanson...

Hanson & Clarke gone by January as not good enough for this level, Lavery not an out and out striker, Evans a gamble - doesn't leave a lot does it.

I can see at least one more striker coming in.

Moult has been linked with Derby, Leeds and Rangers over the last few weeks....suspect that we won't be able to compete with the budgets of the first two.

True

I know it's you tube but I like the look of him, he's a big lad, very good in the air and can finish. Big step up to championship level but given we arent spending the £1.6ms it takes to buy the like of Ward I can see this being exactly the type of signing we'd make.

One slight problem with that is who is going to take them ?

Surely only League One & Two sides would be interested, but could they afford them ?

Both players would be on considerable more than what they were earning at their previous clubs in league one.

Out of the two I can only possibly see Clarke interesting anyone and that would only be a few clubs who could possibly afford him, Charlton, Blackburn , Wigan and possibly Portsmouth Rotherham and MK.
But while his scoring record is 2nd to none in this division his age and injuries could put them off.

Hanson can't see anybody being interested unless we pay a big chunk of his wages.

Perhaps not the most reliable of sources?
I did say I'm not sure how reliable it is, however looking at posts on the account it doesn't seem one that posts rubbish, and it seems like a realistic signing considering the price and the player himself, also other English clubs have been interested in him too, I wouldn't rule it out yet.

1. It's a rumour from a completely bollocks source. There's no evidence at all that Tufty is interested in him. We mustn't miss out!

2. Even Nick No-Goals Blackman, the Bladey favourite who just gets better and betterer the longer he goes without scoring, was prolific in Scotland.

3. Leon Clarke has played 208 games in the Championship. That's not bad for a failure. On the most recent form available, he was comfortably our best striker (yes, including Sharp). The complete dismissal of Leon by some is bizarre. I hope it's not some sort of agenda.

If we could rely on Clarke for the full season that would be great, but we can't.

The defending in the SPL is fucking atrocious.

Yes that is the strongest impression I got from that video, not that Moult was any good or bad but the defenders really weren't challenging him in any way, by the time I stopped watching about half way through. I liked Moult's penalty though.
