After Brooks was subbed off, England conceded a last minute penalty and equaliser... It's on to pens.

Short Odds that we won't see him play a first team game for us?

There is Premier League interest still, but then, he did spend some time with the City academy before we picked him up.

I'd make sure he's signed up and happy, before sending him out on loan for the first 2/3 months of the season.

Should have got on the pitch more last season.

It will be extremely frustrating if we see nothing of him and lose him for nothing, as happened with Diego. Hasn't he only got a year left on his contract?

Going to Chesterfield until January is OK, but after that I hope he at least moves to a L1 club.

Fantastic news!

Won't be happy if I see headlines like 'Everton and Bournemouth in £1million bid for Blades youngster.'

He's a future talent and big asset at this rate. Let's nurture the lad at BDTBL and protect what we have!

Theoretical question.

Is the loan deal with Chesterfield binding?

Or could we cancel it and sell him if a bid comes in? Or decide he would be better off in our squad?

He'll be sold next summer. We need to be getting mega bucks for him though. Could well be the next dele ali

It's a shame we can't see him and Ben Whiteman during the course of one of our pre- season friendlies.

Well done lad!

Is he close to the first team? He must have enough about him to play such a big part for this england team. We've seen the likes of tonge, jags maguire and gulp.. Monty.. break through at his age so surely he must be close?

He will be involved in pre -season him and Whiteman will probably spend most of pre-season with us before going on loan to there respective clubs it's a win win deal for the club.Doasnt stop Prem clubs from pinching them as they have money to burn.
Hopefully we can hang on to the but we have lost a few young players when they can triple there wages at a stroke

We need to get a few years service from these young lads before they inevitably move on.

We always seem to end up selling too cheap. Didn't Charlton get £7m for that Lookman boy?

If we get offered that kind of money we should sell.

A Spireite mate of mine is convinced they won't get him on loan after yesterday! They certainly need someone with some quality though.

No of course we won't. He's playing for Chesterfield on a season long loan isn't he? That's all been signed and sealed weeks ago. After that, we'll probably sell him to Man Utd or some other big club who buy and stockpile players to prevent other clubs getting them and becoming a threat.

I hope Brooks gets good advice and puts playing football in someone's first team ahead of being in the reserves for a big club.

That's the least of Chesterfield's problems - the players. It's the dire financial situation that is crippling the club and could put them out of business.

Maybe his experience of being at Man City and not making it there, will sway him to stay longer. He has, to a certain degree, already seen both sides of the coin.

Gerriminteam. Who cares if there are plenty of better players in front of him. He's played for 'England'. You know, the same team that George Long and Louis Ree...

Oh.

Needs to be in and around the team after Christmas next year.

He may need that. What matters, however, is what Sheffield United need. If he's good enough he'll be selected. It really is that simple. Good luck to him. He appears to have a lot of talent. I ❤️ talented players.
