I agree. He's not a winger as such, though. Gets involved all over the pitch. Would surely be used mainly in the Duffy role?

Duffy was a winger before last two seasons with us and Burton think they're very similar but Holmes might have that bit of power I think duff lacks

Yes Pinch,an ACM basically. He has creativity,a good goalscoring record and huge physicality on top. A perfect addition to how we play.

I'd agree with that. The DCM for me would need to be a box to box type and one who is still comfortable on the ball. It's old news I know but a Sam Morsy type. Leonard fits the bill too.

There's obvious positions that need strengthening like centre half and a couple that need backup but the main requirement for me now is that we sign players to strengthen our current first eleven.

All the players brought in so far are either squad players or not obviously better than what we already have. I'd like the next 3 or 4 to be an obvious step up on the current holder of the position. Difficult I know but it's needed if we want to challenge for the play offs.

I think we need tough pre-season Friendlies too, to get up and running fast, hit the league ready to go, it will be a tough and long season the quicker we can get in stride the more quickly we should be able to adapt at a high level, both tactics and fitness wise.

Fair points,although I would suggest O'Shea was more an expedient addition to serve a short term purpose and as his decision suggests would have been no more than a squad memmber/bit part player this season. Squad players/bit parters we do not need,all further signings would,IMO need to be first picks and de facto better than those currently occupying those positions.

Agree totally. I think the signings so far barring maybe Ched have been bought to challenge the current players in their position or replace players that have gone.

The 2 players we have bid for would IMO be certain starters dependent on opposition. Leonard when we need to be a bit more solid in midfield and Holmes when we can go for it like last season.

I still think there are some big signings still to be made, probably a CB and another Striker if we're going to splash the cash, that will go straight into the team although any of our strongest 11 from last season could feel pretty agrieved at not getting a chance and being replaced however no time for sentiment if we want to get places next season.

I agree. It's almost nailed on that Billy will start as 1 of the strikers BUT if he isn't pulling up any trees then i have no doubt that CW will drop him for someone else.

Dependent on who we sign in the summer I could actually see Ched and Lavery being our 1st choice pairing once we've settled into the Championship if Billy isn't cutting it.
