Had to be done. Spurs can almost double their average attendance.
And it's on the same site pretty much so the fans will be taking the same journey and going in the same pubs etc. Can't see it being that much different to stadia where they demolish stands and rebuild completely.
Bramall Lane' s the only stadium to host a cup final and an Ashes test.
Hasn't the Oval done this too?
Or a bullshitting Christian charlatan preacher!Don't forget an England international too. That's the Holy Trinity of sports and only these two grounds can lay claim.
Except for one thing. The Oval's never hosted a world title boxing match!

You can always call the ticket office if you want to hear him though.I missed the James Blunt concert

The Kop really does need redevelopment doesn't it?when you look back to 1990 promotion year our ground was thus

Shame it isn't Hillsborough.Maybe I'm just becoming a little overly nostalgic in my old age, but if ever this happened to BDTBL, I don't think I'd ever get over it.
This is all that's left of White Hart Lane.

I don't care what shiny new stadium with posh clothes shops on site you give me, it just ain't worth it in my opinion.
Beautiful Down Town Bramall Lane, home of the Mighty Blades. Please, please let's keep it that way.
Didn't we win 6-1 at White Hart Lane sometime in the nineties?I think you're probably right BB!
Didi we ever win there?
I remember we didn't win ANYWHERE in London for years!!

A night match but not sure if it was before the Premier started.
I was just going to say the exact same thing, basically Spurs are just redeveloping the ground but all at once. They are still playing at White Hart Lane FFS! It's not a stadium move.
As for the Lane, I'd gladly knock down the current stands and re-build on the same site.

Still looks better than hillsborough.
Agreed but while they continue to hold it up let's not chastise them too much. The Kop really does need redevelopment doesn't it?
Those bloody columns holding the roof up are terrible!
Apart from the fact that our stadium is still in the same place there is nothing original about it or within it
Well here's to their new signings. OopsI am going to see Atletico Madrids new ground in 2 weeks , They moved from their spiritual home the Vincente Calderon , and I was lucky to see them beat Real 3-0 there , the atmosphere was amazing , but Atletico are now one of Europes top clubs , the ground they are moving to is state of the art modern ,
Their fanbase has always been the working class end of Madrid but they attract more middle class executives now , but most are sons of former working class so understand the club.
We did in 1939 and clinched promotionYeah that's the one. Must be, don't think we've put six past Spurs all that often![]()
True......sad sad......people Iove the nostalgia and memories
But once they're in the new stadium players and fans will be blown away.
Usually new stadiums receive very positive feedback and it's classed as a great decision.
(Apart from West Ham supporters, feedback seems to be negative with many preferring Upton
Park).
I'd also prefer never to leave Bramall Lane.
