Considering what he has done he must be the only one in football who is underpaid, good luck sir.

Football League Paper so it's just about confirmed enough to not be a rumour. Best £3,900 per week ever spent in the history of money.

McCabe was fairly clear when asked yesterday about whether he was looking to extend Wilder's contract to a longer deal that "he's already got one, he's content, he's got a great contract".

Whatever he is on should be made to keep him at the club he loves for the foreseeable future, he has given the club its identity back and for once we are all United, and its a wonderful feeling, the journey as only just begun under Wilder, I think over the next few years he will make us all very proud and happy little blades.

Worth every penny and more.

Good managers get contract extensions, they don't piss and moan about it in November and almost derail their "beloved" teams promotion bid by trying to fuck off to another club. I'm looking at you Colin....

And then flirt on more than one occasion with the Pigs job!

I remember all to well the job offer from Portsmouth and couldn't believe he just didn't stamp it out immediately but no he gave it the standard "its just speculation" line when it was obvious it was more than just speculation and even if its was just speculation he should have put a stop to that right away. That was a big turning point for me re Warnock. He also used to really annoy me with comments like "I get a rougher time from the fans because I'm a fan too". No Neil, you get a rougher time from the fans because of your personality, blaming the referees at every opportunity rather than taking responsibility.

The Star are biased, RS is biased, Channel Five are biased, they're all pig fans and West Hammers, everyone hates us, the FL hates us, the FA hates us, the PL hates us, they're all against us. I read that every day but it's only Warnock who makes excuses.

I'm a bit thick here bush blade so I'm going to ask a question! Is the above a dig at Warnock or me?! Or both!

It's not a dig at anyone, it's an observation. Warnock is like a mirror to reflect the bits of being a Sheffielder we don't like in ourselves. That's why so many dislike him; if we were managers we'd be just like him, moaning, complaining, argumentative, convinced everyone is against us, arguing with our bosses, thinking they undervalue us, passionate, aggressive and loud. In fact, I've just summed up what I was like in my last job.

I was watching Countdown the other day and someone came up with the word sarcambiguity. When pressed on the legality of this word, Susie Dent replied that it refer's specifically to this fella BushBlade she's come across on some wacky forum. So in answer to your question..............

Interesting post mate and I really do rate Warnock and he did brilliantly for us but he used to really annoy me when he said stuff about the refs when we'd just been beaten by the better side and stuff like when our fans were singing "here's only one Neil Warnock" he'd say they'll be booing me soon"! Fans booed him because he was such a tit at times, not because of his results. He didn't help himself at times in my view both during and after his time with us.

Still like the guy but his flirting with the Pigs job made him look very two faced in my view. Again his comments at that time were embarrassing to himself but he'd never see it like that. Could you ever imagine Chris Wilder (when he moves onto another club at some point) saying in a few years he'd take the Wednesday job? No proper Blade would, after managing United especially. Yes its football and professional etc but Warnock could have managed many teams after he left us, and yet he wanted the job at the Sty - twice in fact, both under Mandaric.

I've done some research and it doesn't appear to be a recognised word. Susie's probably thinking of the time I said to her 'yeah, Ok then but I was hoping for Rachel'.

Really didn't need the last sentence, you had a like by November.

He might not Chris and Alan Knill could become the SUFC equivalent of the Clough/Taylor set up. or the Surralex or R sen Venger legacies.
It's too early to tell but hey they've got off to a great start.

He was the only one who said he'd been offered the job. Mandaric flatly denied it at the time and again a few years later.

Don't hear CW moaning or complaining.

Warnock also said he'd love the Wendy job so he could sign a load of shit players and take them down, maybe that's why he wanted it.:D

In one way I'm glad the club are maintaining a sensible approach to wages. One of the things Wilder said, when given the job, was that pay would be more results based than before. However, am I the only one who thinks Wilder's initial contract was a little low? I wonder what Adkins and Clough were on. His new contract, if true, is more what I would expect but I do wonder if a club like Norwich come knocking with an offer of a million a year, what will happen. in our favour, Wilder is a loyal man and doesn't seem to be easily bought. I just hope they look after Alan Knill in the same way. Lastly, I believe, like Ferguson, the manager should be the highest paid person at the club.

Good news and fully deserved imo.

However much of a blade you are if someone offers to pay you say £20k a week rather than £4K it's definitely going to make you think about it.

Not saying he should get mountains of cash but the work done pulling the club and everyone together should get rewarded especially as there are bound to be vultures circling.

Give him the contract, show him he's appreciated and let get building for the long term.

Maybe it already has clauses which players have which gives him an automatic payrise etc
I doubt if there would be a term giving CW an automatic rise for promotion. However l would be very surprised if he did not have a term that gave him a substantial one off bonus for winning promotion. I am confident McCabe will do the right thing with an improved contract with no doubt a potential bonus for getting to the PL.

Good wind up then. Probably got Pork Talk divided, which is never a bad thing.

Is is time to say well done mccabe for sorting it out so quickly?
