Or maybe this?A dodgy kebab?
Au contraire!
I think you will find that the alternative name for a Rainbow Trout is a 'Steelhead'

In my own experience, I've caught far more trout 'accidentally' on maggots than with the fly, but I must admit I do occasionally like to dress for the part and flick out the old orange dog nobbler.View attachment 26604
Ah, a discerning sportsman - we're off to Toft Newton next week in a vain attempt to catch a trout.
So, I won't be needing these........![]()

Canals are often overlooked these days, but there's some cracking roach, bream and tench in there.
Fishing. The weather's picking up now. Get down to your local commercial fishery or canal. With a gallon of maggots, of course.
You're right, caught my first tench on the canal at Killamarsh - you might find you've got it all to yourself these days now everyone's going to the commercial fisheries.
Riveting GBS........

I hear Tennis is a wonderful sport to get int-...
...nope, sorry. I can't lie about these things.
Close season is the fucking worst.
That's the spirit!
Why sit on a cold damp river bank when you can have all the 'fun' of fishing in your own front room. You can even entertain the kids and talk to the wife while you are at it....
On second thoughts, the peaceful damp river bank does begin to sound more attractive.
I have a black one as well GBS. It came in a set with a black and orange Booby fly.Yours is orange, is it?
True though, it's not Pygmalion is it?Thanks, I always like an honest opinion, even yours.....
True though, it's not Pygmalion is it?
I meant 'it's not your finest work' on the assumption you knew Pygmalion was written by George Bernard Shaw. Apparently not so now I just look like a cock.Sorry?
Start by leaving home?

Was the inanimate object a magnet? No, I was simply enquiring as to your interest - when I write great plays, I always include a whoosh moment, in Pygmalion's case, an inanimate object.
I don't think you're a cock, by the way
Slightly more erotic than a magnet, a sculpture ...........Was the inanimate object a magnet?
