remember the ref sending off half our team for being English
Surely that was the home game against Udinese?
Nathan Blake, Charlie Hartfield and Glyn Hodges followed by Bassett from the touchline. If you think today's refs are bad, then this Italian drama queen was the creme de la creme of utter pisspoor refs. He was that bad we were laughing at him before the end

yes it was the anglo pizza makers cup though
was in the bramall lane upper for that game

being an ex ref just stood there open mouthed at his decisions

I'm not in the photo. But, I was in that pub & at the game. In the ground, whenever I stood up & left my seat, the Italian lady running the bar unlocked it, let me in, served me, & locked up behind me as I left. Happier times.....

Went to Piacenza but not Cesena, great effort by those Blades who went to the latter, even more so for those who did both.

I loved the Anglo Italian cup, completely pointless but great, have a big interest in Italian football always have, I was at the Udinese game, still got the ticket stub

Match ticket for the game, got us into the ground but obviously something dated from the previous season.

It was a bar in Cesena, got a few more pics, we stayed in the team hotel and on the team bus, went to the training session with Reg and Derek Dooley, Wally Downes was in charge with his face half bandaged after a chip pan incident, happy days , will post some more
