What Football League show is that one?For anyone unaware, The Football League Show is owned, by Sky, filmed in the Sky Sports studio and produced by Sky. Everyone employed for that show is employed directly by Sky.
What Football League show is that one?
Nope you're wrong. There are three tenders for the football league coverage. Channel 5 won the uk free to air one. It coverage is produced by ITV Productions who use Sunset+Vine. They have agreed with Sky to use their commentators for some of the production. The one on Channel 5, whatever its called. I don't watch it.
Why are you all surprised ? We've been promoted for weeks and champions for a couple of weeks., of course the highlight shows and news are going to report the other teams which got promotion/play off places or were relegated. They're not going to waste time on us when people already know the bloody outcome.
Honestly, some people in here sound like moaning bitches, whether they show us or not, the fact is, Sheffield United pissed the league with 100 points and when it comes down to it, that's all that matters.

Well for a start on the day we won promotion and on the day we won the league we were not the featured match if we ever have been all season so I'm quite happy to sound like a moaning bitch.I think you nay have missed a point or two here but I can't be arsed to go through all the posts to recap if you can't![]()
Yesterday was a game that for all intents and purposes didn't really matter.

And the pigs v Fulham next Sunday doesn't matter. Won't stop RS having a week-long wankathon, though.
I'm a TV camera operator... I'd be happy to help"It's The Media, It does what it wants" seemingly
Perhaps the best remedy for our minimal coverage issue is to find a way to create more: for ourselves, by ourselves. It is after all our Club?
As a Writer and film-maker I would dearly love to work for our 'Blades Family' in a Producer Writer capacity to create our own channel that incorporates and adds strength to what's already independently out there.Top of the list being the need for more in depth game coverage as pointed out by Silvio at the top of this thread.
More and more Blades are contributing on You Tube and other social media channels to great effect. How about we bring all that energy and passion together in one place.Perhaps (thinking out loud) Mr Biggs could help us or we could add to his show?.I would be happy to garner his thoughts.
What is obvious is that there are platforms in place so maybe all we need is to put them together on our own channel.
By pooling resources we could arguably make a regular show of our own, incorporating anything our fans wish to see so that we are no longer dictated to by the Corporate numpties whose default position is to let money and bias do the talking and screw what anyone else thinks. After all it will be argued by some that we footy fans are just a bunch of simpletons who like nothing more than to get sozzled before heading to our respective grounds to hurl foul language at anyone who dares have an alternative opinion. Pfft.
Rather than be a victim of their "Delusions of Grandeur" we ignore them and crack on with what we want.
Sheffield United have demonstrated this season that anything is possible given the right ingredients and we clearly have some incredibly capable contributers who have achieved so much because of their passion for all things Red n White.I see no reason why we cannot do the same.
My glass is always half full.If yours is too and you know anyone who has relevant experience or are simply driven by sheer enthusiasm and an instinct for feeding the needs of our "Family" let's take positive action.
We have a whole summer to devise something better for ourselves.Imagine tuning in next season and being able to "Fill up our Senses".
I already have a raft of ideas for content as I am sure many fellow Blades do. Let's face it we are not fans short of imagination.
I will drive it but need a busload of co-pilots so to speak, to help us find our destination whilst relishing the journey.Love to hear your positive thought please Blades. The emphasis on the positive.
Much appreciated. Kind regards.Paul
Hi Hodges. Nice one buddy.I currently live in Bolton but am planning to move back Home. Let's start by meeting and chewing the fat over a beer and get a structured plan of action in place. My mobile is 07772 251262 so give us a bell when you are free and we will sort it.I'm a TV camera operator... I'd be happy to help

Lord Greenwich ariseAs some folk on here unkindly refer to me as Media Whore Blade (they might have a point) then it goes without saying that I'd be happy to help also.
Lord Greenwich arise
Hi Greenwich, awesome thanks buddy.
If you have strong values and are keen to create something very special for the future of our club/family then that is the basis on which my ideas are built. We know much of the mainstream media has it's own agenda,as would ours arguably. The difference being that we come from integrity and are doing this for the benefit of S.U.F.C. Why can we not be a shining example to other fans/clubs and expand the amazing work done by Chris et al.
No one owns us, we own ourselves and have a choice to view whatever we like.Let's give ourselves more choice and play the game independantly in a by the people for the people kinda way.
It is something that has been brewing for a while for me so I am delighted to find like minded people that we can build a team around.
Are you in London as your avatar suggests? and what do you want to contribute.Hodges left peg is a Camera Op so that's three of us already. Small Acorns n all that.
My mate is a talented multi roler and we have access to others and collaboration and letting everyone use their strengths is what works for me personally.Be great to get one or two of our talented teens involved too and find some funding so it is a community based project that strengthens our cause, what do you think? I will simply do all the leg work and steer so please throw in what works for you.I am genuinely excited by the potential here. Give us a bell if you prefer on 07772 251262 and we can start thinking about the logistics of meeting etc. I do prefer face to face.
Anyway, thanks again your support is much appreciated.
Kind regards Paul
Hi Mate, just left a message on your ansphne so give us a bell when you're free.We are gathering a head of steam and have a potential team of 4 already.Yep, still based in London although it confuses people because I seem to spend as much time in Sheffield these days; in fact I'm here now, hanging around until after the grand parade this evening.
I like the idea of a new fanzine-culture but infused with the wonders of modern technology. Much like the old fanzine producers in the 1980s were fed up with diabolical fare in the form of print media, largely the matchday programme, I feel there is a wave of dismay and irritation at the lacklustre way our game is being covered, or not being covered in United's case with C5, and with recording of decent quality now being widely available, along with many outlets on which to broadcast stuff, such as YouTube, the time is right to have a real go ourselves!
As for me, I currently do voluntary work at a local Surrey radio station but have had plenty of experience in front of the camera or mic, hence the Media Whore jibes, not to mention writing.

One thing's for certain, C5 will wax lyrical over their fantastic home support, on the day they historical drag along Uncle Judd and Auntie Flo..And the pigs v Fulham next Sunday doesn't matter. Won't stop RS having a week-long wankathon, though.
My God, you can't resist can you?
I suggest the title 'Real House Blades of S2' or 'The Only Way is Shoreham' to reflect the obsessive need to be in the media spotlight!
