I think making his first appearance at 16 has set the bar higher for him compared to most 19 year olds who would only now be looking to break into the side. When he played well he had a fantastic range of passing and vision well beyond his age. Where he went wrong was being far too light weight (have to factor his age in again here) and having no defensive discipline. But, while he's still a small build, those are parts of the game that he has the potential to improve upon. He's also had the major hurdle that we've had the best midfield in the division by some distance. With Carruthers and O'Shea joining, and Fleck and Coutts managing to go the season largely free of suspension and any more than minor knocks, it's not surprising that any young midfielder in League One would have trouble getting game time.
Both him and Brooksey have been excellent for the 23's all year personally I think Reedy is better equipped to play championship football as it's a more technical game and Reedy is an excellent technical footballer, it is probably fair to say he doesn't have the physical stature required to play league 1 football but now I think he will step up to be a first team squad member and if he's not in and around the starting squad come xmas then probably be best going out on loan.....it's not done Ben Whiteman any harm

Felt a bit sorry for Reed. Played a full season last year then not a single minute of league football resulting in no medal.

How many games do you need to play to get one?

Long got 1 after playing 3 (I think). With the title wrapped up a few weeks ago, maybe Wilder could've given him a couple of stoppage time cameos to get a medal.

We aren't running a sympathy youth club.

Remember first game of the season around 1991 or 1992 at Norwich. We absolutely battered them. We're 2-0 up and I think Fleck scored two late goals to give them a 2-2 draw.

August 1991. Tommy Cowans league debut (Silent?).

Remember reading in the press one of the senior police officers praising us even though we'd "had a good drink. One of their players made a tackle, ( Tommy Cowans) and they cheered louder than the home fans did when they scored)
