5/1 to be promoted - good value or ridiculous? This club is on the crest of a wave right now, but would want 10/1 before being tempted.

Yes. They've been posted many times.

What's also been posted many times is that the odds will change a lot when every other team is actually available to bet on.

Respect to you Brucey, but I've never really understood that approach to betting.
(Not understood betting that much at all tbh!) but why would the odds make a difference as to whether you think we'll be promoted or not?
Genuine question mate.

Ridiculous, but then the play-off teams are not in the betting equation, so expect those odds to lengthen somewhat when they appear

5/1 really is not good value for a team promoted from league 1 when you see all the big bucks being spent by established Championship clubs

Personally, I see us at around 8/1 - 9/1 to make the top 6

I think we can achieve promotion but would not consider us a 5/1 chance, I would say we have an outside chance so 5/1 is bad value.

Maybe the bookies know something we don't?

If a team that wasn't fancied to be relegated actually when down then made red-hot favs to go back up.
